In Hunter, you could windsurf. Can you windsurf in any modern sandbox games? (i.e. - GTA, Saint's Row, Mercenaries, that one in South America, etc). Inquiring minds want to know.

Edit: Hunter of course being the awesome Amiga/ST game from 1990 or somesuch. I'm sure you've all heard of it.

Was that the game with the archipelagos and a whole load of vehicles that you could just use to get around? (including bikes, boats, tanks, hang gliders and such?)

If it was, that was excellent!

I loved Hunter. I was no good at it, though. I'd always run out of time.

I never played Hunter properly.. I just went about trying all the vehicles I could whilst shooting the odd deer.

Yes... Deer are odd.

I too, never really played Hunter properly. I just pissed around.

See Also: Me in every GTA game, ever. I didn't know there was more than one city in the first game (GTA1, the top down one) for years :)

Glad to know you all thought Hunter was ace. I've no idea why it isn't more widely known - it was pretty much the first GTA-style sandbox game. Anyway, any help with my query would be much appreciated.

One of my favorite games ever. And it was impressive how could they fit all of that into a disk. The game had also a trippy weird atmosphere, or maybe it was only me.

No you're right. It made me feel very desolate and alone.
