Airbag Jackets.

So, you're riding along, and then you fall off. The airbag jacket inflates and makes you safer. And makes you look like a fatty.

I'll be being told I can't ride around in jeans and trainers, next.

I'm currently unsure of the benefits of such a device, though. Educating road users seems to be a better idea, and, by and large, motorcyclists are a fairly self selecting bunch.

They seem like a pretty good idea but I don't see why they should be compulsory, but then I can't see why helmets needed to be either.

Surely the doctors would be arguing against them, as we need those lovely young organs?

It's to stop the organs getting mashed. You'll still be dead from a broken neck.

Ah they should definitely be mandatory then for a new fun sport of running up to bikers at lights and pulling their airbag cords.

Hahaha, that would be amusing. Almost as fun seeing a dog in an open top car stopped at lights on the other side of the road and waving a sausage.

You can get arrested for that sort of thing Mali. Also, isn't it a bit difficult to do on the spur of the moment, if you're wearing leathers?

is OK, I painted a face on the end of it and made a little cloak out of a kerchief, so it looks like a borrower.

More than anything so that the police, ambulance and random passers by don't have to look at all the little pieces of your head after it's been smeared 30 down the road under a truck's wheel.
