Remember back in the halcyon days of late 2007/early 2008, where we had some amazingly long weekend sessions of various games (Halo 3 and Forza 2 stick in my mind more than most)? Well, we should do this again by picking a weekend in advance, and playing games where we can have a large amount of players. Glancing at my shelf, we've got:

Burnout Paradise (8 players)
Call of Duty 4 (18)
Fifa 09 (20)
Forza 2 (8)
Gears of War 2 (10)
GTA IV (16)
Halo 3 (16)
Midnight Club LA (16)
Team Fortress 2 (16)
Unreal Tournament III (16)

There's also Left 4 Dead (8) I can think of that I don't own. Can anyone think of anything else that we'd get a realistic number of players for?

We could even organise slots throughout the weekend where we play certain games, so that people can dip in and out depending on whether they own them or not... does this sound like a feasible idea, or the gibbering of a madman? You decide.

I think I would be killed if I said I was playing games all of Valentine's Day.

Valentines. Can't believe people actually pay attention to that shit.

My policy when a lass goes on about valentine's is to tell her to fuck off and find someone stupid enough to tolerate her bullshit. You stupid, stupid people. It's a fucking scam. I'll be playing extra XBox next weekend to make up for the neglect you are foisting upon yours. And I'll be extra rude to my wife to negate the cynical shotgun soppiness you are spreading across the world.

No one interested then, or did it pass you all by due to being posted at the weekend?

Well I'm game, but it's Darryl's birthday weekend(OMG he's going to be 17...). Obviously he's not going to want to spend all of it with me, so I'll be around and about when he's out with his mates.

No date has been decided as of yet. I am canvassing opinion on whether there's enough interest first.

I'll probably be about so I'll see what folk are playing at the time. I've got COD4 on the way (and er, COD3 too because it was cheap) so I might see if that's any good in multiplayer. I should pick up Fifa at some point as no bugger seems to have PES2009.

I'd be up for it, definitely. I've had no multiplayer Burny Pee action at all and my tiny vestiges of a social life are making FIFA Wednesdays more difficult to get to. I've got everything else on the list except UTIII and Midnight Club.

Well I don't either, which is why the plan was to free up a day a couple of weeks in advance.

Likewise. I don't want to make fixed plans for bezzie stuff at the weekend because I never no what I'm doing at the weekend till last minute.

Myp's arranging bezzie blind dates? We're all invited to a 'bash' at the weekend?

It's an interesting idea, but statistically speaking, I don't think you'll have many satisfied customers.
