I didn't write this review. They are gorgeous though. I think they're about £1.80 in ASDA for a bag of six or so. They don't last long enough for me to count, to be honest.

I've never actually met anyone who _LOVES_ Marmite. Only people who dislike it and those who are indifferent. I guess we live in a society that doesn't associate squishy feelings with preserves.

'fraid I don't like the stuff. My sister's a Marmite addict however. I have tried Marmite a few times, but never felt anything other than revulsion. I do quite like saying the word though. Marmite. Marmite.

As for watering whiskey down, Dudley. There's some whiskeys where a wee splash can improve. It 'unlocks' the flavour. (Gngh, advertising speak.)

I love melted butter on toast, adding the marmite to it makes it divine! It sounds like I add just as much marmite as you. It's probably more marmite than toast to be honest.

I had marmite only this morning. To my disgust we have almost run out with no spares - SOMEONE WILL PAY.

It keeps till Armageddon man, always keep a spare jar under the bed for emergencies.

Another vote for Yes here, marmite + toast + cuppa = aces.

Love it, especially on hot, buttered crumpets. Can be a bit overpowering if you put too much on, though - I wouldn't go for Dudley's toast recipe.

Marmite is satan. Vegemite is the way unto the light. Pre-emptive shut your face to CUS.

Marmite clearly has a popular mandate and if you don't like it, there's the jam.

Tesco's own-brand Marmite (Yeast Spread, I think) is officially Marmite XXXXXTREME!

I was put off marmite permanently when I was about 10 and we had a jar go off in our cupboard. I think some other stuff must have got mixed with it and it went all rancid and dribbly. I opened it and split it all over me, and it made me gag and retch for hours. Can't stand the stuff since.

Try stenching the factory in Burton-on-Trent. It's officially goppin.

I've been put off it since my dad came home one night with about 30 little tubs of it and kept asking me if I wanted some every day at breakfast.

I dislike the sight of it more than the taste.

But jam doesn't stink. If you don't like Jam, it's fairly innocuous. If you don't like Marmite, you don't want to be in the same room as its horrible malignant presence.

We get this stuff (despite not having a Tesco big enough to stock it within easy reach) as my fiancée greatly prefers it to proper Marmite. I love both.
