Anyone else playing this catchily-titled shooter? Got it yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far, certainly more than CoD5 anyway.

Is the online co-op any good?

I've played it tons in offline co-op.

The terrorist hunts are loads of fun. Whack up the difficulty and spend ages creeping around trying to find the last hiding bastard. Who'll then shotgun your face off.

R6V2 is great. I loved the t-hunts in the first game but it had duff single player. Also the multiplayer ranking up took fucking FOREVER.

This game refines and improves everything and because of the 'get 100 kills with X type of weapon' achievements, the online stuff is a bit more varied. I'm usually cack at these games but I did okay online with this one.

The story mode is completely co-opable and brilliantly done. Feels more natural than Army of Two's co-op and that was pretty much designed for it.

Some of the achievements require a bit of boosting (the hostages/attack and defend one for example) but most of them are fine (if a little time-consuming).

I've only got the first one. I'm not sure why the FPS fans here don't have it, when it's cheap as chips and very enjoyable. Also four player co-op!

I'm probably considered an FPS fan, whereas I've only actually ever played a few (though I have tended to play them a lot).

And I can't see the name of the game without thinking of a comment someone once made about it, that being "A good result for Rainbow against a tough Vegas side".

I want to finish the first one first, but itsallwater has been rubbish at playing games since he got back together with his girlfriend. She doesn't let him do anything.

I borrowed this a while ago, but it's still sitting on my shelf due to the huge number of awesome games I'm still playing. I might have to dig it out and give it a whirl now.

Tis excellent...am I the only one who finds the T Hunt missions incredibly hard (either solo or co-op)?

It's very good indeed, though the grinding is annoying, and on the PS3 they forced an update that made the game significantly worse by adding an idiot-proof grenade indicator which couldn't be switched off.

Good co-op fun. Just don't play it with someone who's tactically inept or you'll end up tearing their face off, frying it, and posting it to their wife.

The story mode is decent enough but I think the terrorist hunt is maybe the funnest part of the game. But yeah, pretty hard some of them, I'm currently getting my arse repeatedly handed to me on "Import/Export" or whatever it's called.

Alas I'm working on it! Mind I've been trying to do a litte game catch up with COD5 and FableII. Need to do COD5 asap and get it sold although the Nazi Zombi's is quite good although I could just get Left4Dead with the profits of selling COD5.

I still need to do HALO3 on uber hard. Only done the first 4 levels 84 times but never made it to the later levels on uber hard. GASH!

***EDIT****

Also myp! We did make the most horrific webcam image for my player! Actually HORRIFIC!... most people probably would say it looks like me though! :'(

I'm nearing the end of the campaign. So far it's had some clever moments and several frustrating ones, and the AI seems to get stuck a lot. But when it does things well it's awesome.

Silliest AI failure so far; after the 3 of us abseiled down a lift shaft I moved up the hall while commanding the Chuckle Brothers to take cover at a planter near its end. I ended up getting pinned down and had to work my way through all the terrorists one shot at a time, wondering the whole time where the hell my squad are since they claimed to be in position. Got through the fire-fight and still couldn't see them. Tried to get them to fall-in, still nothing. So I ran back to the lift shaft while swearing under my breath, and there they were, one crouched with his head in the others crotch :DD

I'm going to start again on "realistic". Already done all the terrorist hunts on that setting (top tip if you are going for the achieve you can set the density to low and still get it) they were amazing fun. More people should buy this, we need some 4 player co-op.

Man, it took so many tries to get through Murdertown Terrorist Hunt on realistic with high density.

Murdertown was a cunt of a level on low density. Most of them you can just secure an area and the terrorists seem to run into your sights sooner or later, not on that one though.

Are you trying to say I should've played and finished it ages ago? I've only had my 360 just over a year...

Fuck the points, just get this one instead unless you intend playing every 360 game ever. It'll cost you hardly anything if you trade it in.

It's realistic I'm playing just now. Most parts aren't too hard, but there's the odd bit where you want to weep. Especially when you've swept through an area, are 20m from a checkpoint, a couple of geezers dive out and start shooting, you try and take cover but Barry Chuckle is standing in your way and he's belming at you while the terrorist shoots your face off and shouts "PWNT n00b"!

Yes indeed. I have always shot Craster in the back in every gameI've ever played with him, and don't want to stop now. I also accidentally discovered you can TK in the online COD4 "hard" matches. And then repeatedly discovered it for an entire evening....

That's fair enough, Chavez and his boys don't lie down. Lying down is for pussies.

The only really horrible part of Vegas 2 on hard mode is the boss. Without spoilering, it's fucking insultingly unfair trial and error 90% luck bullshit.

It is a great game, though. I've not played the 360 version, so tell me, did they add the same point-wrecking grenade indicator to that in an update as they did on the PS3? That annoyed me no end.
