My hoarder instinct is clashing with my get money for new stuff greed.

I keep thinking lately if I should sell my PS2 and games as it's sat there doing nothing. But then I think I'll probably want to play through Ico or whatever again at some point.

With my spare time dwindling away I'll probably never get round to this though, and thinking about my gaming habits I tend to finish a game and move onto the next thing. So what should I do?

I'd just offload the games you don't think you'll miss too much. I'm not really one to comment though as I've got dozens of unplayed PS2 games and three PS2s. I nearly set the Japanese one up at the weekend to play Guitar Freaks but nearly was as far as I got.

I would imagine that there's not a terrific amount of money to be made from selling a PS2...

Yeah.... sad but true.

I'll box it up and take it to the Antiques Roadshow when I retire.

Your nephew not want it? Or do kids get knifed at school if they don't have a PS3 or 360?

He's already got a Wii & DS that he plays CONSTANTLY. I've got an Xbox he can have anyway.

Myps has shown great interest and I'm putting together a cunning plan to rip him off list of games.

I also have a big pile of PS2 games and a PS2 which I may wish to get rid of.

I too have a lot of PS2 games. I tried selling them at work but no one was interested (apart from someone that wanted MGS2). The DS games went really quickly though.

I want a PS2 - I've even got a sealed copy of God Hand for when I manage to get one. So someone give one to me.

Otherwise - what you could do is sell it all, but put money aside in a separate account (at least in your head) and don't spend it. Then if you ever want to play a PS2 game again, you use the money from that account to buy a PS2 and the game you want again.

And whilst you don't the money just sits earning you interest.

It's kinda like storing stuff in cash form. Or something,

I dunno, I like the idea at least.

A look in Gamestations window told me a PS2 goes for £35 notes with a pad

Off the top of my head I have:

1 PS2 & all cables
1 Pad
2 Memory cards
Ico
Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Genji
R-Type Final
Beyond Good & Evil
Silent Hill 2
Cold Fear

You do know they're about £10/15 second hand?

You can have mine for £40.

PS2 is now worth 2 thirds of 4/5ths of fuck all. Second hand.

God knows what JC's console went for in the end, but that was worth not a lot anyway.

Really? I was only keeping it for the spare DVD player which I no longer need.

I may trade mine in at the weekend and post the games up to Myp.
