I've had a few emails from WoW-Europe saying something about a character transfer and that my account has been charged. I've not played WoW for ages. Possibly about 2 years. Has someone managed to hack me and get me charged or what?

The only person I know here who plays WoW is Shin. Maybe she will know. MaliA and Grim... play EvE...

You could google for WoW Europes email address (to check it's the same) and then send an email to that (rather than reply) asking for information about whats happening?

Maybe Nireghenge has got a WoW Tyler Durden alter ego and did it himself unwittingly.

Has it got some sort of "click here then log in" link? Could be a phishing scam if so.

My WoW account got hacked a few months ago. I had two accounts, both of which I ran off the same computer, and both of which I'd cancelled many months earlier, but only one of which was hacked.

Blizzard were adamant the account was compromised on my end, yet my computer has always been kept squeaky clean, and the other account was not touched. I don't believe them.

Nirejhenge, I can only presume character transfers require an active account. See if you can log in to the Blizzard account management on their web site and see if your subscription is active once again.

WOW accounts are money to people, so they hack them and use them-they can sell them on and stuff it depends how beefed up your account is/character is I suppose.

Whats the message say Nige?

I had 3 years invested in mine, with eight level 60+ characters, a few of which draped in epic gear. Still, a brief talk with a GM had it all sorted. I still don't intend to return, but I'm not having some cunt steal all my digital stuff and get away without Blizzard knowing about them and rectifying the matter.

:this: is a very good thing to do. I'm going on WOW in a bit, then seeing if I can sort that camera out-think I did something to it last night.

It's most likely a scam anyway-I'd report it on their website
