I smell a set-up.

The only Belkin product I have ever used was a wireless router in the states. $40 from walmart (I was desperate to stop comcast's flash ads) and wish I hadn't.

Quite simply it was the shittest fucking PC component I have ever used. Dropped the wireless constantly and needed recycling more times than 2 billion aluminium cans.

Rubbish.

This will end well for them.

Do you think this is company sanctioned, or someone with a bit of a grudge against them and a knowledge of how the web community works?

A Belkin exec has already confirmed it was an underling, and distanced the company from the guy. Given that he posted the offer from a company email address, I think it's unlikely to be a sinister conspiracy - it's an extreme dimwit trying to impress his boss.

Hopefully it won't be too damaging to the company then. Start counting down the minutes until it appears on FAILblog...

As I said on my Twitter stream, this is probably the only way Belkin will get such positive reviews if my piece-of-shit N1 router is anything to go by.
