Yes, and I stand by everything I said - but Nintendo have done fuck all with it since. X was coming, Y was coming and the few things that have come are disappointments. Still no good FPS, still no good driving games, on the rare occasions somehting comes ut that isn't shovelled from normal current gen, or the PS2 or a DS or some free flashgame, they get ignored, like Boom Blox. Who bought that?
I'm trying to think of the thinhgs I sold and why I sold them. I'll try a list now (this is not complete at all)
Excite Truck - played as far as my skills would take me, no online, shit multiplayer - no need to keep it Zelda - same as any other Zelda - leave it alone for a fortnight, good luck figuring where the hell you are in it or what you need to do. And I've done my 'twilight hack' already Smash Bros Brawl - I've already got Smash Bros Melee Mario Strikers - I've already got that, too Endless Ocean - novelty wore off Boom Blox - hurt my arm Eledees - Novelty wore off, though I might be interested in Ghostbusters Guitar Hero 3 - no DLC, no stereo, having to fuck about with the Wiimote every time I wanted to play. Lego Star Wars - low res and gimmickey lightsaber remote stuff, got cost of 360 version for it so will play in HD and get achievements. Mario Kart - Gay wheel, dull racing compared to DS and Double Dash, infuriating online friendcode hell Metroid - walkingandwalkingandwalkingandwalkingandwalking. Pretty though and nice controls till your arm hurts Resi Umbrella Chronicles - fun to play, but 5+ headshots to drop a zombe? I'll get HotD overkill instead, once I've borrowed a copy, as there's no demo to get, because with the Wii you just have to trust it wil be decent when you spend >£30 on a game.
And since Smash Bros there's not been one game I'm interested in spending cash on. And none of my Wii owning friends ever buy games, they just want Wii sports. There's very very little on the horizon the interests me either. I was content with the Wii u though until I got a 360, now I can see how embarrassing the situation is for gamers with it as their main console.
And here's me with terabytes of USB hd space I can't run my existing games off and I've nowhere to put new purchases. Last but not least, anything multi-format always wins on the 360 - including the likes of Bully. Waggly controls vs. getting gamerpoints, achievements and HD? No contest.
Scarafce Wii was superb though - if San Andreas Wii ever came out, I'd play nothing else!
