Happy new arbitrary time measurement iteration. I celebrated by sorting through some old cds and putting the bin out.

Extrapolating data from the first four hours, I shall be spending the entirety of 2009 being lightly drunk, whilst posting rubbish on the internet and watching classic American movies from the 1930s and 1950s*.

(*So far, Mr Smith Goes To Washington, and Some Like It Hot, although I haven't really been paying due attention to either. Or to the rubbish I've been bunging on the internet, either.)

We had a really lovely, quiet New Year with some games, some TV and watching the fireworks from the warmth of the living room, whilst hearing some drunk women argue about men and who pushed who, up on and balcony above us.

Happy new year, chums. We had some friends over and had a bit of a party. 'Twas fun, altough we didn't play any of the video games people brought over, instead we did party games and some board games. Nice.

Bit of Trivial Pursuit with mates, bit of telly, bit of MarioKart, bit of drink.

Lovely start to the year, marred only by the fact that I work for a company that only shuts for Christmas day.

Why we both decided that sleeping on the floor of the spare bedroom was a good idea when our bed was in the next room is somewhat beyond me!

Would you mind if I stole that photo for Facebook? Tis quite hilarious :)

My understanding of the situation was that myp had been playing Guitar Hero, but had chosen to go to bed, he was then persuaded to get back up (at which point I came back upstairs, so I don't know at what point you made it on to the floor), saw you on the floor and decided to collapse on top of you. There you both remained while we played Guitar Hero/Rock Band until eventually everyone went back downstairs and left you alone. At some point rumblings were heard from upstairs and suddenly you were both gone.

Obviously, you're welcome to stick the photo wherever you like. I'm sorry it's not a bit clearer, but I was a bit drunk. :)

I met some of my oldest and finest friends at their house for drinks, after narrowly deciding not to stay in and watch Jools Holland, got far more drunk than I have for aaages thanks to a pre-ginned bottle of lemonade which I didn't know about, spent the countdown having a slash, flung my champagne gaily across the room, sat in a busy doorway for an hour for no discernible reason, and beflirted then groped my friend's younger sister. While her boyfriend was right next door. Because I'd decided before I arrived that I was going to flirt with someone attractive and damn the consequences. Man, I'm awesome.

I'm not usually one to bother counting years as anything meaningful, but I'm so glad 2008 is over, and I've already started kicking arse, so fuck it. 2009 is going to be largely fun. I hope you'll all enjoy it.

Happy New year, I got very drunk round a friend's house until we piled out of there and went round to Curiosity's and Mogwai's until about 5. Greenwich was like shawn of the dead yesterday morning.

I am now at work

I have now given up alcohol until my birthday !!
