The voice actress who played Meowth for most of the English language dub of Pokémon is dead. :(

Yeah. She was a pretty big name in second life, a lot of people were shocked. :(

I really really need to do some work.

No, really. It's taken me two days just to get the firewire cable out of my bag and although it's plugged into the computer the hard disk is sitting on the side unpowered and unloved.

Don't know specifically about the iPhone, but I deal with devices that signal via GPRS and GSM at work and in general a) GPRS isn't the most stable service in the world and b) signal strengths can and do fluctuate wildly depending on atmospherics / your location / RF interference / base station quantity and quality in your area.

Small blog time!

I bought theatre tickets for the woman I used to refer to as Former Lady Zio's birthday in January. Following a rather immature letter she sent me, plus a few other things that have properly fucked me off of late, I delivered these tickets to her father late last week. He gave me two birthday presents that she'd left for me, then in a very polite manner, essentially told me to fuck off and not come back.

It was my birthday yesterday and I have still not opened these presents. Truth be told, I don't want them. The girl has made her feelings for me very clear of late and I would now much rather just forget her and move on. But I'm not sure what to do with them. Binning them seems harsh and when I saw one of her best friends yesterday he refused to take them off me to give back to her as she might be offended by this. So what do I do? Post them through her letterbox? Find some other friend who'll take them off me? Gah!

Other than that, all seems to be well in the land of Zio at the moment!

If they're good then I'll have them. You should have put them on eBay with the tickets.

You leave them in the fridge because you can't decide how to eat them until they go off. Well, that's what I did.

Remove peel.

Oh, eaten raw they can induce squits, cooked they can treat squits. How queer.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I did this anymore. They were fucking expensive tickets! I think at the time I thought I was being the bigger person, but now I think I was just being the bigger twat. She really has made me quite furiously angry recently and I now feel my life has been enriched somewhat by her not being in it.

Bit of a turn-up for the books, eh?

If one of the presents is a teddy/stuffed animal of some kind, cut a hole in it, have sex with it, then send it back to her.

You were being the bigger person, and in years to come when her anger fades, this will likely worry at her for the rest of her life. I'd take pleasure in that, but then I'm a twat.

Sharon Fruit tip. Cut into 1/4s then eat like a little water melon.

They taste of sweet bland but they're cheap.

I've just been Christmas shopping in Southampton and realised 4 things.

1 - Anyone woman over the age of 14 in Southampton without a kid is probably a lesbian.

2 - The shorter the skirt, the bigger the munter.

3 - You'd do well to find a greater density of cunts than in an Apple store. Even Stamford Bridge seems mild in comparison.

4- Dixons/Currys/DSG will be bust by July.

That is all.

[stands well back]

On a weekday it's usually fine. When I went in today (about 10.15am) it was a little busy, but when I went back through at midday it was heaving. Marks and Sparks was torture (I only wanted something for tea).

The problem with West Quay is that it has sucked all the traffic from the High Street.

Yep. I have fond memories of walking into town from home and spending all day on the high street. I remember spending literally hours in HMV on the High Street and Electronic Boutique and the guitar shop on East Street.

Now it's all fucking Poundstretchers.

You might want to check your house for Amstrads too.

I do like the bunch of people who sit just outside it on the chairs with their laptops hooked into the free wifi there.

After shopping in the area last week I'd also add :

1) Ikea will kill the town (can you imagine being able to get close to the place when it opens?)
2) I cant work out how CEX stays in business , they have games on the shelves 2nd hand for in some cases double what they are when they are on sale in the other shops and at best they are 'full retail' price (e.g. Fable 2 for £35 when its £20 on special or Fallout 3 for £37 when its £18 from HMV online)
