Raven Macdonald was born at 15:01 weighing 11lbs and 9ozs!

(5 1/4 Kg)

Mum and baby are still in hospital, but are fine and they should be home on friday!

Congrats Malc and Mrs Malc! And Raven is a very lovely name, almost wish I'd thought of that as a suggestion to preggers-ex (incidentally, we've decided on the name Rosie if we have a girl).

Crikey though, that is a big baby. Make sure you spoil Mrs Malc for having to go through that! And also, when she gets older, make sure that Raven gets to enjoy her birthday and Christmas as two entirely seperate entities - no 'joint-present' cop-outs unless it's something she really wants!

Congrats to you both. I was (according to my mum), 11lb 12oz when I was born. We still don't get on

Nice name but I would be slightly concerned about the 'she's a right raver' gags. We changed our daughter's name a few hours after she was born from Daisy Carys to Carys Daisy as I was concerned that of the bovine gags being leveled at my daughter.

Anyway, as I said, congrats to both of you and all the best for the culture shock that is the next few months.
