Right, seeing as it will never happen unless someone gets off their backside, I stand up.

Who fancies it?
When would you like to meet up? A Saturday would be best, probably the 14th.
Activities - I would suggest beer. And possibly curry. Or one of the many excellent Chinese buffets. Talking to each other would be nice, but perhaps optional.
Location preferences from those in the know. I would suggest starting in Castlefield, near places like The Ox, Knotts, Britons Protection, I mean train stations for people to arrive.
Crash space available? I have none. Fact. I do have an indepth knowledge of where good/cheap hotels are.

Anything else?

City centre travelodge FTW. Booking sufficiently in advance will score you the room for about £25.

Despite being in an area of town I don't frequent (Saturday night in town = chav hell imo), I would probably turn up, just so the curious can finally get an eyeball on me.

I may not be able to come if it's the 14th (if that ends up being a firm date) as it's my friends birthday :(
I'd probably be in a BnB or something again

Oh, yes. Sold!

On a related note, I hit my funny bone before on my bad arm, and the entire arm went completely numb for several minutes, all the way down to my fingers. It was awesome.

Weekends are definitely preferable for me. I wouldn't have to worry about leaving early to get home, or being shattered for work that way. As for which weekend, any is fine*. The 14th of March is fine.

*apart from the 21st March, because that's my birthday.

It is also Bobbyaro's birthday, being-born fans!

Can we end up in the Fab Cafe like the horde of geeks we most assuredly are?

I'll tell you closer to the time. Having no job curtails spending, so at the moment "no". This may change.

Why not go to Manchester for one night, then come and stay in Nottingham for the next one? I'm making it even more unappetising, aren't I?

I can do this, and wholly wish to subscribe to its newsletter.

If we made the week of the 30th, I'd have the whole week off (plus it's my birthday on the Wednesday).

Meh, I might be able to make this one (if I'm invited that is!)

Mind you, might not be such a good idea given my "form" of late, I wouldn't want to put anyone else off! :hat:

Oh well, I could always stand in the corner with my hands on my head likes.

(Also, completely OT/apols etc., but has anyone seen young Mr Chris of late? I'm missing the lad)

When I was about 12 my mum dragged us to Granada Studios so she could trample on the holy cobbles of Coronation Street.

I might come, depending on the date and my whereabouts.

I found myself out in Manchester last weekend in a party of twelve, eight of whom I didn't actually know (friends of friends, etc.).

There was a very annoying camp guy there who, upon somehow getting onto the conversation of birthdays and discovering we were both born 21st March and both in 1985, clung to me for the rest of the night. I can only assume he wanted some nyn-cock. Either way, he was very annoying.
