Two of my favourite Christmas songs in this group (Low and The Waitresses). Good work, Group A!

You might be surprised, as there are a couple of songs there that other people had picked, which I'd already contemplated choosing.

The link to the Shakey track now fixed, by the way.

Oh I didnt notice shakin stevens, it might get a point for spazzy hand clapping, is it just me that thinks the video is quite sinister?

I refuse to take part in this for one simple reason:

I could not find a single Christmas song that I like. At all.

I quite surprised at Shakey doing well. He did get a point from me though as it is a fairly pleasant song and very much a christmas song. Obviously. Interesting how it's the only youtube link in this lot. Must be Mimi's. :D

If you can't spot mine, you need your eyes/ears checking. :)

The link posted has embedding forbidden, so it won't work. Here's a link to the actual video. It's by Lady Gaga and, if you're asking me (which you aren't), isn't really up there with her finest work. It is certainly festive though.

This blocking of embedded videos really is stupid on a number of levels. These videos are there to promote whatever the contents of the video are, but if a large section of people trying to view the videos can't watch them: that's stupid. They're blocked so that viewers have to go to the proper YouTube page for said video, because it's got lots of links to other videos from the same record company (as well as a big sign saying "THIS IS THE RECORD COMPANY ALL THESE ARTISTS BELONG TO"), but then that kind of thing pops up at the end of embedded videos too, so: that's stupid. And while trying to nurture a sense of brand loyalty to smaller, specialist record companies like Yep Roc, XL Recordings or Tommy Boy, it's generally the likes of Universal Music who are behind such shenanigans, and no-one, ever, in the history of ever, is going to buy an album because it's the on the Universal Music label. so again: that's stupid.

Also, this practice generally buggers up at least one track per week in the Song Wars, which is also annoying.

See what Mark X says. Basically.

Also this is about the only Lady Gaga track I like. I love her image but her music is a bit too RnB type thing. But I mainly like this track for its obvious fun silliness. I'm quite sure it isn't meant to be taken seriously.

Oddly, I can't bloody stand pretty much any R'n'B track ever, and yet I really like Lady Gaga's album "The Fame", AND YET FURTHER STILL, I can see what you mean about it sounding a bit R'n'B. Shit, I hope this doesn't mean I'm subconsciously a racist.

Meanwhile, I'm busy listening to a load of winter-themed songs from my iTunes library in order to compile my Winter Mix CD, and by jiminy there are a tonne of songs I now wish I'd chosen instead.

I find this oddly warming and extremely amusing.
