I've just used Itunes for the first time, (don't laugh, i will catch up with technology one day).

Now, I would like to burn what I have purchased to a CD- whereabouts would these files be located on my ancient com - poot- ahh??
Or are we now in a totalitarian society where these are forever trapped on mp3 player only?

Cheers chaps and chapesses

iTunes has a Burn CD button doesn't it? I don't have it installed as it's the spawn of Satan, but I'm pretty sure it burns CDs itself. The choons are probably DRMd up the arse, so using iTunes is the best way to do it. Assuming it lets you.

i love the way itunes will only work on pc so if you plug your ipod into someone elses pc, it'll either erase their music or yours. Cheers Apple!

You need to create a new playlist (err File > Newplaylist I think)

Drag your spangly new songs from the library pane over to the playlist on the left hand side.

Then click the playlist and it will display your songs. . . . then somewhere you should be able to click Burn CD which should be a button down on the bottom left of the iTunes screen.

Someone will certainly be along in a mo to post much better instructions!

I love iTunes. Maybe it's because I've been using it so long, but it just lets me do what I want with no fuss or effort.

I loves it.

I rather like it as well... something about it is nicer than Winamp ever was.

But the burn disk thang is confusing at first.

Course, I generally use the OSX version. The Windows version seems a bit clunky in comparison when I've had to use it.

I've noticed that people like itunes if that was their first way of managing larger music collections (not just a 10s but >200 of files). people who already did thart their own way usually hate it,

I for one love it, already had some mp3s on my work laptop, but only really starten to use digital music when i got my ipod & iMac in 2003. GJust letting itunes organise it and not worry is just lovely

( the windows versions seems a bit less nice though)
