It's OK, I just let her use a Spectrum running YS2. It's all the information you'd ever need.

The house I moved in too was owned by two old ladies previously and we still, to this day, keep getting letters through the post claiming to be from Nigeria or such a place and claiming that the ladies have won a lottery or are owed money..

Letters though! Not even emails... letters, to this address... with the old ladies names on there.

It's hard to imagine a Nigerian office with a load of people typing up and sealing these letters ready to be sent to England. Now I think about it, it kind of gives me the creeps that someone is writing my address (albeit with a differenent name) on an envelope expecting to get some money off it!

It's a crazy world we live in.

Council Tax is a pain. When the missus and I moved into our house, it took us nearly a year to get them to accept payments from us, by which time they had already issued a summons for non-payment. Fucking numpties!

For good measure, they’ve warned Spears that if she sends any more money to Nigeria, they will charge her with a crime. She admits it may be the only real deterrent for her, as fixing this became somewhat of an obsession.

That's the most incredbile bit. 8)

"I've got to fix this!"

"But they're defrauding you!"

"Yes, I know, but if I send more money I might fix this!"

I like how the article makes this clear:

Quote:
Besides her work as a registered nurse, Spears – no relation to the well-known pop star...

I wish they'd made clear whether she was a type of mint or not. It's been bothering me.
