After me mentioning Twin Turbo V8 on the games shop thread, I was so enticed by the sexy cover that I decided to spend my virtual £1.99 and download the game. CPC version natch.

Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.

The good news is the game moves fast. Very fast in fact. The bad news is that it's a blocky mess actually of lower quality than any C64 driving game. You can even steer your car when standing still!

32 bananas. And 30 of those are for the title screen and music.

Not quite 20 years but I always wanted to get into Blast Corp on the N64.

Did Elite get a console release?

Yeah, it came out on the NES and it's supposed to be very good -- in fact it's co-creator Ian Bell's favourite 8-bit version.

Not exactly 20 years, but I have never played Fallout/2 and wouldn't mind giving them ago, given their appreciation on here.

Oh now there is a game I wish Nintendo would release on the Virtual Console - at least I would be using my wii for something other than a door stopper

I'm constantly doing this, aye. Currently I'm trying to single-credit Nexzr, a PC Engine shooter that was made for the Summer Carnival '93 competition. It's definitely one of the best games on the system, and I think it's a crime that it appears to be so little-known.

actually, since playing and enjoying Braid, I've been seeking out older platform games like The Addams Family to see if I'm any better at them than when I was 12. I'm not.

If you're anything like me, you're quite shockingly worse.
I sometimes try to beat Jet Set Willy 2. It's too fucking hard!
