Here comes the secret identities and scores for week four:



Ah, three whole votes for Toby Keith. It would certainly have been fewer had I successfully linked the correct video for it (and not, for a few days, Prodigy's Charly). As for other scores, No surprises that Motorhead and Radiohead tracks won their respective groups, but a bit of a surprise over the miserly number of votes for U2. In fairness, it was part of a very strong line-up, but I'd have thought it would have performed better. And I don't even like U2.

Rodafowa's inspired choice of Mike Harding's Dangermouse theme storms group C, with fierce competition for the other scoring positions. A time-travel heavy bunch in Group D saw Bluecup's Chuck Berry track nick five points. I'd have thought Duran would have been a shoe-in there, personally. It's the best Bond theme ever!

With that in mind, here are the current league standings:



Mimi's storming Group A, with the dashing and enigmatic Mark X pulling away in second place. All manner of weirdness going on in a remarkably tight Group B, with Zardoz sitting in top spot despite having the second-lowest 'goal difference' of the group. I can show my workings, just in case anyone wants to challenge it. Craig's mammoth aggregate vote total isn't enough to prevent Rodafowa being hot on his tail, effectively turning Group C into a two horse race. As for Group D - only a huge spoonful of bad luck sees tossrStu eleven points off the pace despite having the same aggregate vote total as the top two. I can assure everyone that those maths are watertight.

A slip-up from Craig (a still respectable 22 votes for 'Charly') allows Mimi to run his total close, meaning there's a real battle going on for the big graph that admittedly doesn't really mean anything, but would probably be quite nice to win, if it happened. It's like the Song Wars equivalent of the UEFA Cup.

Almost forgot the stuff for next week again.

The WEEK SIX themes are as follows, so if you haven't already, get them songs in before the obvious and best choices are taken. Choices in by 23:59, next Weds:

I think I gave you 1 of those points. When I did, it was the first point, so I was afraid that it was one of MarkX's comedy choices. Sorry.

It's a relief to know that despite having the fewest points* I'm not technically at the bottom of the stacked chart of truth.

Who is going to be the first to point out that Sheepeh chose the 80's movie soundtrack theme but choose a song from a film that came out in 1992? Not me that's for sure. That would be a very childish thing to do.

Bowie only really has two good albums Earthling and Outside. Heroes and Low aren't too bad either. The rest I can happily ignore.

I'm following a pattern of one massively popular week followed by one week of people recoiling in horror. Which is excellent.

In fairness, I obviously gave it a point because I liked it (or didn't like anything else), it was only afterwards I thought that maybe I wasn't supposed to have liked it.
