Ace bargain. Mine is the best gadget I have ever owned (including my iPhone). You program it to know how your TV/amp/speakers/consoles are wired together, then press, say, "Play Xbox 360" on the remote. It then turns all the devices on and off and changes them all onto the right inputs to make it work. If your significant others ever ring you asking "how to turn the Wii on" you need this.

Bear in mind that if there is a woman in the house, she will fuck everything up by turning something off without using the remote, and then the remote will do it all wrong for ever more.

I get phone calls at work - "I've broken the remote again and had to use the normal remotes. Sorry"

So an excellent device yes but in no way is it woman-proof.

Mine only fucks up when the dogs get in the way of it when it's sending a signal, and then, my feyonce knows to use the Help function on the device and not the other remotes. Perhaps you need a more excellent woman?

Free with a $205 record? Maybe I'm reading wrong, but that looks far from bargainous.

Lookest thou to the bottom left where it doth proclaim: "DOWNLOAD THE FREE EELS MANCHESTER 2005 LIVE EP RIGHT NOW!" Thence treasure! Except my posting it on HUKD seems to have sent their server into meltdown.

Damn, out of stock. I'd have been all over that like a rash. I like to buy Metroid games when they're cheap, then lay them down like a fine wine and play them a few years later. I paid £5 new for Metroid Prime 2, and didn't play it for a year and a half.

Camera Types - you may know this already, but I didn't. Respected online bods Warehouse Express do a deal where, if you can find a product cheaper at any of a set list of retailers, they will knock off 125% of the difference. Better still, they're not very good at maths - I reckon they knocked an extra £3 odd off the item I just ordered.

So, if you arm yourself with Camera Price Buster, and find a piece of kit you want with a sizable price difference between one of that lot an Warehouse Express, then fill in their price match form and they'll e-mail you confirmation of the reduced price and a unique number - you can then call and use that number to order in the next 72hrs.

I just got a Nikon 18-55mm DX lens (the kit lens from the D40, basically) for £59.77 new this way - Warehouse Express had it listed as £135.94 including postage, while at AJ Purdy it was £75.00 including postage.

Oooh, I know I've just got MotoGP 08 but that's what we call "The sweet spot".

I was going in there anyway on the way home since it's day 1 of trade ins so if they've horribly miscalculated something I'll find out.

I just went to HMV, saw that and decided to post it in the Bargains thread... you usurped me during the time it took for me to pick up some fish and chips and eat them!

(and it's 19.99 - HAH!)

really? my local hmv had it going on last week, I was a bit gutted because going on the prices they want for preorders there i wish i traded in my new pro evo there rather than gamestation. The one example I can remember was 18 quid for beautiful katamari which you can buy for a tenner online new im pretty sure.

Trading in starts today.

The one in Leadenhall Market was doing unbelievably specific trade-ins today.

You could get Far Cry 2 for cheap/free if you traded in that Brothers in Arms game and Soul Calibur 4... but ONLY those two games.

Both to get it free.

So you need to have BOTH those games and want shot of them AND want Far Cry 2.

Apparently 365games have been known to do this in the past. It'll mean you'd have trouble trading it in at Gamestation or GAME as the barcode won't scan through.

According to http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dw- ... -2ww9.html it is indeed region-free and it has the following languages:

English, French, German, Italian, Spanish

No, I don't know why either.

Looks like Multiwinia's had a price cut as it's now $9.99 (~£7.40) on Steam, and if you buy it this weekend then you get Darwinia thrown in for free.

Also if you buy The Ship this weekend on Steam then you can get it with the single player pack for $4.99 (~£3.70).

Oh, and in case anyone wasn't aware, Amazon dropped the price of their free delivery from £15 worth of stuff to only £5 worth of stuff. Hopefully they'll soon be fully in line with other retailers who offer most deliveries for free.

Interestingly I have just found out that Crap-phone Whorehouse now stock games and peripherals; perhaps another place for future bargains?

Also, if you know anyone who works there, tap them up for some of their Staff Turbo Discount (30% I believe) - making my purchase of Fallout 3 an absolute steal at £28 quid (assuming they stick to a RRP of £39.99)

I am going to check this out tomorrow as the source I got it from is prone to . . . well let's just say he exaggerates a teeny weeny bit!
