Everyone we meet comments on her eyes. They are very human-like and wise and she gives the most epic side eye and eye rolls. It’s like having a personal judge following you around.

Yes, if you compare her eyes to her tiny friend, they are incredibly human like.

I look forward to seeing how much she’s grown.

She’s growing at an incredible rate.

Every time we see someone in a dog walk or day out and they ask how old she is they say ‘she’s going to be huge!’

I've been trying and struggling to pinpoint who noodle reminds me of. And it's definitely a who. Gandalf?

Ian Botham? A cross between the two? Either way, a magnificent dog.

I feel the same, i.e. that Noodle reminds me of SOMEBODY, but I can't work out who it is.........

maybe...

Nutmeg's got her fancy dressing gown on after the second bath we've given her ourselves.

Much much better this time, lots of trembling but she didn't keep trying to escape and happily ate treat biscuits throughout - she ignores treats when her nervous system is too up.

Stealth dog!

She looks super cute.

I'm building up to getting a dog eventually. I'm a bit intimidated by all the responsibility and training stuff but equally I don't want to get through this life never having had a dog.

I love that Nutmeg’s tail is just a blur.

Get (something approximating) the right dog for your circumstances and do (something approximating) the right training - it's less than you may think, in the scheme of things - and give (something approximating) an adequate dose of care / responsibility / worry / attention / effort and it'll be right.

What I'm saying is, we did it and it all worked out, it wasn't that hard but also we made sure not to make it any harder than it needs to be. We've got two lovely old labrador-crosses that have been a part of our family for ~14 years. You just need to care about what you are doing and it'll likely work out. Don't overthink it.

Here's our two old girls taking a not-so-helpful rest in amongst some tree clippings that I was trying to tidy up.

I need some legal advice.

Was sold what was advertised as an Australian Cobberdog. Am now suspecting I was lied to and is instead Cthulhu. Where do I stand on this?

Since I was last in here we've picked up another rescue, Bert.

He's a Shorkie and the most territorial dog we've had but also a dog that demands to be picked up and fussed.

Here's Him and Millie on the expensive sofa now dedicated entirely to the dogs.

I’m still convinced Mimi’s dog is a actually a man in a fur suit.

She’s getting her first full groom tomorrow, so I’m interested to see if that makes her look more or less human/Lorax.

Beautiful work!

We took the plunge of doing Ziggys grooming ourselves and Mrz Z did an amazing job of Ziggys first home haircut!

It’s weird how used to him being scruffy we get.

Hey, Taxi. Sorry I missed this reply. But thanks for it. I've watched every episode of The Dog House so I'm getting an idea of what I want :p . Thing is, it's very much a me thing. The wife could happily do without it. So I need to get it right and not make her feel like I've just dumped a load of responsibility on us.

But I reassured by your post though.
