We bought a new gas-barbecue to take in the caravan when we go camping, as we've got fed up with using the cheaper ones that either don't work very well or don't last. This one feels like a good 'un, and it cooks nicely too.

Oh is that the same as yours, DrZ? Yours looks bigger to me, but maybe that’s because it’s on a stand(?) and I think you’ve got some kind of side tray(?)

A carefully chosen angle and a clearing of any surrounding stuff can make anything look bigger in a photo. Apparently.

Tastes good so far

After some major FAFF as I mentioned on another thread (pre-ordered this bass, the company then went bankrupt with my money, but I managed to claim it back from the bank), I finally got it from another site.

A Sire Marcus Miller Z3-4 in SPARKLY BLACK. It's AGGRESSIVELY SPARKLY but I love it. And it sounds powerful and gnarly. I like it.

Ta! Annoyingly I've got a house guest for the next four days so I probably won't get to play it but I'll admire its sparkles.

It looks more sparkle than black! Is it the angle of the pic?

Surely your house guest wouldn’t mind you playing your new bass?

It really is very sparkly. Probably 50/50 with the black maybe more.

My mate won't mind me playing it but I'm not sure I'll have time. Trying to come up with a few places for us to go etc. Also, BBQ is mandatory if the weather is good tomorrow. :)

I think ours is a Q2000 also. I take the little side-wing tables off for transport and storage.

Yes I've gone photo mad today but you know, catching up still.

I got a steering wheel and stand for playing primarily Gran Turismo 7 last week and I'll probably end up in a film shortly having risen to compete in the real Le Mans 24 hours.

Once I can stop smashing into the barriers because I've turned all the assists off.

I've got that wheel too. If you've not already got a PSVR2 I can highly recommend it, worth it for GT7 alone. They also added the AI opponents to custom races recently so you can set up really good races without having to invest the time you need to in order to get into decent races online. Most fun I've had with a racing game I think except maybe the Forza nights of old.

So much fun just battling in the middle of the pack like this:

I am very tempted by the PSVR 2 just for this. I'm probably ditching the Xbox so could fund it via that but then that could also be Switch 2 money.

We've an agreed limit on pointless gadgets and I've exceeded mine somewhat recently.

Now I can't stop thinking about it though.

Oh dear.

Edit. Watched that video now I'm on the Cex website..

What's the thing in the middle of the dashboard, that looks like a bit of PVC pipe sticking out, meant to be/do?

That’s the cardboard tube from a loo roll. The race was obviously scarier than anticipated

Russell is out for the night, so I bought an ice cream from the ice cream man for Bean and I. They accept cards now!

Bean has salted caramel. I had pistachio. It was gorgeous. I told the ice cream man that I loved him because he gave me extra pistachio sauce and pistachio nuts on top.

We had pistachio ice cream and chocolates on Aegina last summer and that’s exactly the colour it should be without all the additives

It was really nice. Better than any ice cream van ice cream I’ve had before.

BUT.

I’ve now had ice cream that has ruined all ice cream forever.

It is incredibly smooth and so, so good.

It’s expensive but 3 for £10 on Ocado at the moment.

It’s not an ice cream but it looks amazing. One of my favourite desserts made with proper dates.

Will try with some nice fresh custard, ta!

Oh shit, you're right! They used to do sticky toffee pudding ice cream that was fucking incredible. If they don't make it any more I'm going to be angry.

Will definitely check that out. I’m a Morrisons girl when going to an actual physical shop, but occasionally get a Morrisons delivery for a bit of a change.

Off topic, but Morrisons and Ocado drivers are the same people here, and they regularly forget who they are driving for on a particular day. I think they must operate out of the same depot/complex here.

But with different vans, right? Or do they just have different van livery that they can switcheroo somehow?

In that case I’m going to just imagine that between deliveries the van drops down alternative shutters and designs like you might imagine Batman’s car doing.

Talking of Morrisons, I went today. I think Grim… was there as I spotted his trolley…

No Cartmel ice cream in store BUT I did see some frozen vegan mince that was being discontinued, marked down to £1 a bag. When I got to the till it was only 37p per bag so I bought 10 bags for work and six for me.

BTW - I thought I'd posted this last night so if this shows up on another thread by accident, sorry!

EDIT - I had! I posted in Finish 52 Books because my fingers and eyes stopped working presumably. Sorry for the confusion!
