I have thought about it, briefly, but I don’t think I could do it. My anxiety would just be overwhelming. I have a friend who has been on (in fact, she won it. Charlotte, from Season 4), and when I’ve spoken to her I think we’ve both agreed I’m not in ‘that place’ yet. Maybe one day if I ever conquer my stupid social anxiety!

I made some matching T-shirts for the boys for Fathers Day, out of some fabric the pair of the spotted at the fabric store.

They’re not quite identical as I put a fine knit rib hem band and sleeve bands on the kids tee whereas the adult tee has a standard twin needle finish to the sleeve and hem (though I still used the fine ribbing for the neckline).

I used the bands on the kids tshirt so o could make it longer if Bean continues to grow upwards faster than he grows outwards.

I used the scraps to make various pants and stuff, too.

If it doesn't fit, when you next see me please burn me at the stake. I won't resist.

Hey, that's good. Did you make it out of clay or print it or carve it or what?

The last couple of things I made. Baby clothes for a colleague and pyjama bottoms for myself. I made some undies too, but nobody needs to see those. :D

I made a thing. It’s really just a proof of concept and I’m going to remake it a bit better, but I’m happy with the idea. I just need to stitch it with a bit more finesse.

When my grandad died I was hit with a grief like I’ve never known. He was nearly 100 years old and he was my hero. When he died I was asked what of his id like to keep, and I was too cut up to know what to say, so I asked for his glasses. I’ve had them all these years since, not knowing what to do them or really finding a way to display them. But the other day I finally, after a decade and a half, decided I was ready.

I need to change a few things up here. Use the darker thread throughout, and I think I’m going to rework it in a different stitch entirely, but it will be something like this. Because of the ups and downs of life I only have a couple of old photographs, but it will be nice to have something that I can see each day.

Thanks, Zardoz x

Should have said, the glasses are still intact. I made little buttonholes in the fabric that the arms go through so the arms are just tucked behind

I’ve been working on a set of Christmas ornaments that I hope will go well with our dining room decor but also last many years, because I’d like them to be something I could pass down in time.

They’re made from 100% wool felt, which is pricey but worth it. I’ve embroidered the 12 (actually 14) decorations. Hopefully the pictures aren’t stupid big and actually work…

Anyway, so I’ve decided now that I’ve made the 12 of them that I’m actually going to make 78. It will take a few years, but I’d eventually like to have two turtle doves, three french hens (etc).

I’ve started the second round, and I’ve decided to add some beading to these ones. I’m using different colours for each ornament but still sticking to the same restricted felt and thread palette.

I’m just embroidering and beading all the pieces at the moment, and will piece them together once I have a fair amount to work on.

Thank you :luv:

I do love making them though they take many hours each (which is fine, but it’s no quick reward). I’m hoping that my new glasses will help a little :D

I’m going to have to find ways to give them all little personalities with their faces in a way that works. Or maybe keep them all the same. I’m not sure yet.

I quite like the ‘burns on the leaping lord.

Thank you. I’m really happy with them. I look forwards to seeing them on the tree. Even more so when I have all 78 one day. My idea is to dress the tree in tiers, so the partridge round at the top, turtle domes below that, then the French hens… all the way to the 12 drummers at the bottom. I’m hoping that the widening of the tree at the base will work well with the increasing number of ornaments.
