I reckon you'd be better off in the long run by trying to look after your phone but if it does get lost or broken just buying another one then.

Hmmm £1000 for a new phone or £200 for insurance. The maths doesn't stack up :)

It does when you're a few phones in and haven't claimed.

Especially if you're on the annual "new phone must buy!" treadmill anyway. I have no idea if (or how close to that) you are, obviously :)

Apple yearly new iPhone announcement. I am not inspired at all, to upgrade my 14 Pro. Unfortunately I have a teen who wants my phone.

I can trade in his iPhone 11 for £90, so it will cost me less for the next 2 years.

All the new features seem to be AI based at the moment, which I couldn't give less of a shit about.

Yeah I’m in the market for a new iPhone, might just get a better deal on a 15 / 15 Pro.

I fell for the advertising hype and was all excited, but Sketch-to-photo (or whatever it's called) on the new Samsung Galaxy was interesting for about 5 minutes, as was the ability to edit photos by drawing on them. After the first few days of shiny-new-phone feeling, I haven't touched them.

Although, there is a nice 'ai wallpaper' thing which can take a picture and update it according to the time of day and the local weather conditions, which is quite neat. I have used a picture from a favourite beach and it's really neat to see it change throughout the day.

Just preordered an iPhone 16 because my wife said I was allowed.

I'm sure there are apps for it that allow it to be used as a synth.

And it’ll have one huge knob operating it.
