Is it possible to make the little notice that tells you the chapter-end restriction a little bigger, or even pop it up before commencing the final chapter? I NEVER see it, possibly as I have the brightness on my phone set way low as I had vision surgery as a kid and that’s the only way I can see my phone.

Otherwise I’m going to keep playing what is clearly the best word I’ve ever played only for it to score zero as I haven’t noticed that it says only vertical words score and I’ve laid my tiles horizontally.



Edit: I should have said that similarly I can’t see the difference between the red 2 and 3 board multipliers, or barely see where they are. I’ve memorised those, so it’s not a problem unless there is a back that moves them to different positions, in which case I can’t see them, or if I do pick up that there’s something there I have no way of knowing what number it is.

No, I’ve just been playing on ‘hard’ mode, but did the ‘harder’ (fewer tiles) this morning after reading that post, just to find there is ANOTHER difficulty unlocked. Will try the hardest difficulty today, but I am prepared to fail.

Oh, haha! Nowhere near then. I don’t notice the sneaky ‘?’ In the ‘Hardest?’ Difficulty. I’ve just been using the cut down tile set, but shall try one tile army one soon. I did get that completed before the reset, but haven’t tried it since. Just looked through my unlocked hacks and haven’t got the one in your picture. Is that what you get when you complete the game?

Has something happened to the game? My brother played today (player name Boris Jo) and somehow scored this on beginner mode, but it won’t unlock Amateur made even though he successfully completed the books.

The F It Up hack does not play well with the Enlarge hack.
I have the current value of F set to 3, and Enlarge increases it by 4 but then the F hack seems to reduce it again

Huh, that's odd. I'll add it to the list. Did it matter if you reordered them?

Add it low down the list as I sold it rather than reordering it as a better hack came up.
I'm also not 100% what was happening just that the score seemed to be giving a high one, then the hack activated and the multiplier looked smaller. But it's very fast so it's entirely possible I got it wrong.

I definitely had Grow before F it up in the order though

I had a bit of a weird thing a minute ago. My game seemed to open up a 9th story, even though I’d completed the game and opened the next difficulty:

Then it showed all the hacks still in play for a new game (though is non-functioning as I can’t actually click into a chapter to play).

Also, I’m not sure if this is right, but I *think* I had the electrified hack twice, and it applied to the same hack twice, but I don’t think the hack it applied to applied the electrified hack twice. Does that make sense?

Good news, you can click the blank space at the end of a chapter where the Continue button will be to go straight to the shop.
Bad news, you don't get your money if it doesn't finish animating.

Alright, I've fixed the F it up problem, the disabled hacks when you've got no hacks problem, the round number being too high, the hacks that re-appeared (I think I fixed it, anyway), not sure why the board didn't load on 503 but I've added more stuff to catch that and give me some info, the double-hackmaster stuff and I don't get how you "Played some markup code" so you'll have to tell me. Oh wait, do you mean you literally played the word 'em'? If so I'm going to fix that fucker by making it "not a word"

None of this stuff is live yet because I'm also going to upload a whole shitload of layout changes which (I hope) will make it much nicer on iPhones and iPads. But I'm not doing that until I'm around to get the complaints.

Oh, and impatient people don't deserve money (although, coincidentally, a game speed control will be added to the options tomorrow, too).

How many people do you have testing this at the moment?

Are you looking for significantly more, or is there enough feedback to keep you busy with fixes and tweaks?

I do seem to have lost some progress. I definitely completed the game on ‘Harder Still’ yesterday, and opened up the next difficulty, but it’s reverted to Harder Still being the next difficulty again. It’s not a problem, and may have been because of the rogue 9th book which popped up after I had completed the game, but thought you’d want to know.
