What's the fastest you think you could eat a chocolate orange?

I reckon I could do 180 seconds or thereabouts.

"I reckon" doesn't cut it. If you wanna make this a challenge, we need an official Mali time that then accepts all challengers

With or without a drink? I think with a big brew to wash it down it could be easily done in under 120 secs.

No way you found do it in 120 OR 180 seconds. I think five minutes, minimum. And I couldn’t do it in that time. I reckon Russell could beat most people at this task though.

Yeah, I’d struggle to eat one in a while sitting, but I don’t like chocolate. I’ve seen Russell eat a whole chocolate orange MANY times, though.

I think that the chocolate orange is more dense than you're giving credit for. 180 seconds seems quite quick but then again, if you set your mind to it... You might just do it.

Of course, there is only one way to find out.

I think the temperature of the chocolate orange probably matters too.

So no brew but final water swigs allowed at the end?

Wouldn't a brew melt it? If so, hard no.

A spanner has been thrown in the works as Ocado do not stick chocolate oranges! You may have to do a Morrisons run in the week.

Yeah, effectively you'd just be downing a pint of some sort of orange mocha.

Getting those excuses in early, there, but here's a thing: Home and Bargain is where the winners shop.

The idea of this both disgusts and delights me.

I'd like to think I could do it in less than just-under four minutes but I am wondering if I have underestimated part of the challenge (or overestimated how much I like chocolate orange).

Mali, if you reflect on your time, what was the biggest obstacle to doing it quicker and what would you change for next time? Would there be a next time?

A positive mindset: visualize yourself going through the pain, and crossing the finish line. Have your mental alarm thing at the ready. Mine is the start of the 2 Cool theme, so when it gets tough the words "turn it up" pop into my head and then there's the pace change.

As a wise philosopher said, "You gotta believe".

Yeah, I bought one then just enjoyed it over the course of a few after meal brews.

Although… with Easter weekend approaching it seems like the perfect time to try again.

Or I may just enjoy one over fewer brews.
