Right, I'm off to get pissed at someone else's expense. Drunken Crackberry posting later, no doubt.

Top indie tunes at downstairs Dempseys t'night with a mini-Twisted. Might be off to that, hurrahs.

In other news, Bone is great.

Listening to the Smiths - How Soon Is Now. If he asked that question in Wales the answer would be "in a minute"

Gavin & Stacey? That's probably why I don't find it funny then.

Also, you've got the strangest Welsh accent Ange has ever heard.

Where's she to now then? OHOHOHO!

Also, Ange wouldn't know a Canadian or Welsh accent if it hit her with a wine bottle and scoffed all her onion bhajis.

Because she was told I was coming from Wales, she assumed I was Welsh. After she burst in from the pub, she refused to believe I was actually from CANANDADA.

I had a dream where it was just me an an ex girlfriend and we sat down at a table and discussed what had happened when we were going out. Although, at times, it was quiet emotional, because of some and stuff, it was quite nice as i remembered a lot of good stuff. Either way, I feel absolved now, and can carry on and not worry about it any more.

I dreamt last night the UK was involved in a 'limited nuclear exchange'... 'I' was a chap in his late 30s with his wife, and we had a very valuable satellite telephone (which looked just like a normal house telephone) that we were reluctant to use as we'd have no means of recharging the battery once it ran out. A German guy driving a Plymouth Voyager spotted it (for some reason, this valuable item was being carried openly in one hand, as opposed to concealed in a bag or pocket) and asked if he could use it to call his family. We refused.

After trudging down the side of a country road we happened upon a train station, where a motley collection of bewildered commuters were wondering what to do next. One particular chap in a business suit said he could hear something, and sure enough a train rolled in. He insisted that life would just carry on as before, see, the trains were still running.

Things didn't improve... everyone was really confused, and there was a eerie sense that something wasn't quite right any more. I'm still a bit creeped out now.

Is House of Fraser the old Bentalls store on the corner? If so it's due to become the largest Primark in Europe. Ah, just think of the fighting in the queue on opening day.

That's chilling; I'm actually quite spooked (and can clearly picture the railway scene). One of those 'oooh fuck, I hope prescient dreams aren't real' moments.

It could make an awesome film - or even better, an old-fashioned short-run BBC drama serialisation. To thy wordanvil!

Hope the move up north does you good, Mr Grimm.

So do I.

Forgive me, I'm going to belm a bit now.

Basically, I'm going back up there due to a few circumstances; some of them aren't mine to discuss. After this whole business with my mum almost being immolated, I've decided to try and make some amends with various family members. I'm not liked much by the Pattinson clan, I'm into that heavy metal and don't like cars and I might have had sex with men! So, I'm taking this opportunity to go up there, help fix my mum's house up a bit, see my nieces and just generally talk nicely to people and see how it goes. I'm not terribly optimistic, but some good may come of it.

However. Tam is still in Nottingham, and appears to have decided that the distance is too much. I can't say I'm surprised by this, but it's really hit me hard. I'm in a fairly bad way; I don't actually remember shaving my head, for instance, and I'm a little bit scared. I've been feeling this way for a while, the heartbreak of losing her(and it is proper heartbreak, I've not felt this bad in eight years) hasn't really helped. It's apparently a 'break', but we're probably not going to get back together. Something about it feels wrong.

So, yes. I'm going to get very, very drunk with a few old friends tonight and play Rock Band and discuss plans for a dreampop project. I really hope it stops me feeling this fucking hollow, because I don't know how much more of it I can take.

Sorry for putting a downer on things, but I could use some nice words.

Crunchie.
Felch.
Hug.

Those are my nice words for today.

And I hope that works - you're definitely grasping the nettle there (for some reason I put 'stick' first, which is quite the different image - I may have odd pictures of gay sex in my head all day now) so more power to you just for trying that, quite apart from the general wonderfulness of going to help get a life and house in order.
