At work the standard hairnets are blue. Since social distancing has been relaxed, those still wishing to distance have been issued with purple hairnets. Which I think is quite nice.

At least they're hairnets and not helmets.

I can report that I have completed my hype-wall replacement cycle and my excitement intensity is steadily increasing.

I've picked my two board games I'm going to be touting, rucksack space permitting. I'm also thinking of bringing along some quality sherry in the guise of a nice Fino or an Amontillado. Or both. Any sherry drinkers out there who'd care for a tipple? It's some incredible stuff. I'd bring a bottle of nice Spanish grenache in the guise of Mimao, one of the best wines I've ever had, but fear I'd be a stumbling, clinking fool schlepping my way up from Cardiff with all that boozy weight.

What's going to be your drink of choice, hmm?

That looks very different from my prep, which is currently blue roll and coffee.

I love a nice sherry. I think there might even be some in my big wine box (can't remember what I ordered ) so we can do a tasting session!

I am bringing wine (which people are welcome to try/share) and a few spirits to make cocktails.

Excellent! Maybe I should bring a couple of nice cheeses too. And some boquerones and tapas meats. Myself and my old Third Floor Gallery photography crew stayed in touch through lockdown with online wine tastings with little bottles of wine delivered from the local tapas and wine shop of champions, Curado. I have developed a bit of a fondness for Spanish wine as a result.

This will also be the first Beex meet I've brought a console to, which is kind of exciting.

Cottage man said we can check in "any time we like" so I said I'd be there around lunchtime.

Flamme Rouge world championship is a fairly flat course*with pave, this year, and the weather is far from certain.

*UCI World Championship is in Flanders, so why not try and mimic that?

In other "It's Starting To Feel Like Cottage" news, I have braved the A34 on a Saturday and done a brewery run.

Did we ever sort out the bed situation? Weren't there too many people for the beds at last count?

I'm bringing my air bed and bedding and am going to find space in a room for it - under a window to the benefit of all.

If they post here, they won't be strangers any more. And not be too shocked on the day that we all have "code names".

Yes, there are potentially 2 more people than beds (not counting JBR who is camping)

Cottage man said he'd leave bedding in the room between the main living room and the kitchen if we wanted to put a couple of air beds in there.

I'm only a stranger until we meet then I'm and even stranger.

Just so it's clear - I'm not sleeping in the kitchen!

I guess some of the rooms are big enough to have an extra air bed in them because I'm presuming that room will still be a bit noisy around bed time.

I may bring along an air bed then as I don't think I'll be stopping on the Saturday night. I need to be at home early on Sunday so it may be best to head back in the dead of night.

Yeah, obviously people can decide between themselves where they want to actually stick an air bed, that was just the suggestion from the chap.

Also, I may bring along my camera and do some filming on the Friday and Saturday and possibly make a Co11age promo video or something? I'm presuming no one has any objections to being filmed?

Of course, this may not happen. I do film a lot of things that just stay on my hard drive and never go anywhere.
