AZ here, and all very rapidly done. Fingers crossed for no side effects.
Fingers crossed! If you start to feel ill, take some paracetamol, take a bottle of water to keep by your bed and sleep it off.
Run through the streets shouting "I'm changing".

Never have I been more relieved to have no side effects.
Didn’t fancy recreating American Werewolf....
AZ? then round two will most likely suck ass.
Me two weeks back -
Man. That covid jab is f*****g gnarly.
Saturday night was one of the worst nights of my life. At one point I just curled up in a ball and resigned myself to my fate. I couldn't even stand up.
Starting to fade a bit now, but still feel very hot.To which someone replied.
One of my wifes PHd supervisors was saying that her husband, who is a doctor, noticed that people who have had covid get a worse reaction on the first dose and those who have not had covid get a worse reaction on the second dose. This is of course purely anecdotal so take with a pinch of salt.
Then I read this.
https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-02- ... worse.htmlAnd then out of the blue this popped up on the news the other day.
https://uk.style.yahoo.com/strong-react ... 25129.htmlAnd then it all made sense. I was certain I caught Covid last January, just after my birthday. So ooo, maybe around the 30th? I came home in a taxi from my mother's and the driver looked like he was dying. Apparently he'd been on a few airport runs and soton dock runs. The weird thing is that the prior November I had gotten a flu jab. Any way, about a week later I lost all sense of taste and smell. Which was really strange, being autistic, given I rely very heavily on those senses. I felt rough for about a week (nothing severe) and then it seemed to go away. Phew. Two days later I had the worst cough and shortness of breath I have had since I packed up smoking in 2012, and spent three days in bed.
The jab however?
dear god.As soon as I had it I felt really hot. I celebrated by walking home the long way along the beach, but was so hot I ended up coming home. I took off all of my clothes apart from my boxers and opened all of the windows. It wasn't warm out, it was really cold. I figured maybe I was so excited that I had gotten myself into a state, but it turns out not.
Figured I would get an early night, so took my sleeping pills around 10pm. Within 30 mins I was out of it, so I went to bed. I woke up at midnight. My breath out of my nose felt like it was actually burning my top lip. I felt so hot that I threw off the bed covers and went back to sleep. 3am I awoke again, only this time I was shaking so hard that my teeth were clattering. So I pulled the covers back over me. Then I started burning up again, and had the worst migraine I think I have ever had. I could feel and hear my pulse in both my head and ears whooshing away. I tried to get up but fell back onto the bed. That was when I realised how dizzy I was. I felt so rotten I literally curled into a ball and thought I was going to die there. About 30 mins later I felt slightly less dizzy and managed to get to the sink, where I drank two pints of water. I tried to lie on the sofa, but even that was too much as it made my head throb. So I took some para with codeine in and basically sat there in my dressing gown with either it tightly wrapped around me whilst I shook, or, me opening it up because I was so hot. I couldn't watch the TV even, so I literally just sat there until 10am. I guess by that time the para and codeine and worked enough for me to get back to sleep, so I went back to bed and woke up at 1pm. Feeling like death warmed up.
It's really uncommon of me to miss a gaming sesh with my friends, but I felt so bad I couldn't even move my arms enough to game so a friend linked me a stream so I could watch. Ten minutes later I went back to bed.
The next day? much better. Then the stomach cramps and trots started, but that could have been an IBS flare. Exhaustion lasted about four days after the jab, now I am pretty much back to normal two weeks after.
As said, get on the paras ASAP. Especially if the first jab just gave you a sore arm. Two of my gaming buddys and one of their wives really got it bad and like me spent three days unable to do anything. One of those (and his wife) suspected they had Covid last year and isolated for two weeks. The other? works in a betting shop down in Bournemouth, so probably had it last year also.
