How does that "in store only" requirement work with the current "non-essentials banned" thing? Can't help but think Tesco haven't thought that one through.
Non-essentials aren’t banned from sale in England; I thought it was just part of the stipulations in Wales, though the implementation seemed shoddy. You can still buy games in Tesco, and Christmas gifts in Boots, etc (which they have made abundantly clear in their bombardment of adverts; you’d think they were solely a gift store).

Yet shops that only sell gifts aren't allowed to open, it's a complete shambles.

I wondered if they might have Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi today and they do (although the UHD versions aren't discounted this time)

Other stuff
Arthur Christmas - £2.99
ET - £3.49

Christian Donlan has Donlaned all over this twin stick shooter on the Switch, Bezier. Sounds like a good time to me.

And it's just £4.99 on the eStore at the moment.

A couple of bundles you might like:

Humble Bundle online boardgames - Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Splendor, Blood Rage, LOTR cards. https://www.humblebundle.com/games/asmo ... op-2gether.

Slightly more niche. Bamba put me on to hidden object games (not sure if these are the type you play, but they're quite a nice distraction). Mac and PC. Bundle here, 10 for £2.79: https://www.fanatical.com/en/pick-and-m ... ect-bundle.

Some maybe freebies from Amazon - depends on eligibility, but there are links you can click that will tell you straight away. See MSE:

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals ... -freebies/

If you have Prime:
£7 credit when you upload a photo to Amazon photos.
£5 credit when you borrow a book via Prime reading.

Without Prime:
£5 off a £20 spend if you play a track through entirely on Amazon music free.

Nice find however, it says I'm not eligible.

Clearly Amazon knows that I'll be throwing money at them regardless of a promo. Pah.

We've been discussing "The Terror" in the UK TV thread recently, so you might want to know that the the Kindle version of the original book is currently 99p (without a flake).

This seems like a good place to put this...

Does anyone have a Pixel 3a phone that needs a screen protector? I've bought one by accident so I'd be happy to pass it on for free to anyone that needs it. If not, I'll have to just chuck it which seems a shame.

Really? I thought it was the one that was like B&M? She’s based in Liverpool. I’ve asked her what the store is. If it’s no good a r”tip, apologies.

Home Bargains? They have them round here and they seem to sell a lot of grey market stuff that was meant for export, like B&M Bargains.

Well the logo uses the Argos colours and they sell much the same stuff: https://www.homebargains.co.uk/

55p a can of most decent beer is a good offer.

I don’t think you’d confuse the two. Argos had a red and white logo, sure, but so does Iceland. And they sell a lot of food, like Iceland.

Anyway, Home & Bargain is the same as Home Bargains, if you live near one

Speaking of B&Ms when we were kids Zardoz and I worked there briefly as a summer job, this was in the original store that was just a load of sheds at the back of a car park in Cleveleys. He flooded a storeroom with a mop bucket and also priced up a whole hopper full of beans for about 4p which were immediately all snaffled up by an actual feeding frenzy of eager bargain hunters. I also got a telling off and attempted life lesson by Mrs B herself for my lackadaiscal attitude. But I like to think we still played no small part in making it the empire it is today.

It's this sort of slip up that marks me out as not being from round these parts.
