Yeah, he's super-scrawny but so friendly. Given him wormer and flea treatment. And he's eating well so that's good.

Great that you rescued him. Obviously get him scanned for a chip and put a post up on any lost and found pets FB pages you have in the area. We managed to reunite a very hungry and scraggly cat who ended up in our garden back with its owner this way.

Yeah, when we looked on facebook for lost cats someone else had already placed a found cat ad on there about him so we contacted them to pass along our details. They said they would have taken him in themselves but they've got a dog. We'll put another ad on there as well just in case. He'd also had someone come along and scan for a chip but there wasn't one. Going to get him to the vets asap and get him checked over as this morning he doesn't seem to want to come out of his basket, just sleeping constantly.

Yeah, not so much. £266 so far. Poor little guy wasn't eating and just getting more listless. Took him to the vets and he's had bloods taken, he's dehydrated and also got kidney failure. I also noticed a lump on one of his legs. Turns out it's a fracture some time ago that's been left untreated and the bones are fused. That's just something he'll have to live with if he makes it. But if anyone tries to claim him back they can GTFF, cunts. Anyway he's staying overnight with a line in him to get rehydrated and some steroids just to try and give him a boost. Really hope he makes it.

Oh Mark, that's not great news. Thank goodness he found somebody like you to take care of him. Fingers crossed for the little fella.

Oh man, hope he’s ok. Yeah whoever was responsible for letting him get that way can fuck right off.

Having to feed the poor little guy special recovery food through a syringe. He's maybe starting to improve but still very poorly. He loves to wander about the house but just doesn't like being alone, he'll just stop in a room and start crying out until someone goes and strokes him. :'(

Not good news this morning, took him to the vets and she's looked him over and said that overall he's just too poorly. He was in a lot of pain, his leg injury, kidney failure, if they'd done everything she could think of then it was maybe a 20% chance of him making it. RIP little fella.

The local cat lady network found out what happened with George, asked if we would consider adopting another kitten and mobilised. Parker is just under three months old. The RSPCA arranged it all, he's just been dropped off here. And he's awesome!

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!

Yeah just a bit, we brought him in and opened the door of the pet carrier all being really quiet because he'll probably be quite shy and scared. Nope. Just burst out wanting to play which he did for two hours then ate, and now he's asleep on my wife. He's fab.

Looks a lot like our Quincy, who we affectionately call Quincy Boots because of the white markings on his feet.

He already knew his name, otherwise our daughter had decreed he was getting called Zoomer. Black with white feet seems to be the official BEEX cat colour scheme!

Yeah, we adopted Ginger after Elvis came to stay in our garden for a couple of days before we reunited him with his owner.

What are they? :DD

You may find https://haybox.club/ useful btw. I use it for my two rabbits. One box per month is generally enough (aside from over winter when I buy a couple extra) :)

Couple of guinea pigs. Arrived today, out them in the hutch and they went to ground. I will try and get a picture when they are out and about, but leaving them be at the moment.

Will check out haybox. Much appreciated.

Yeah, walled, too. I'm looking to work out a way to block the way to the gate then they can range free.

It’s nice having ours on the loose in the garden when it’s good weather. Very cute when they loose visual and “wheek” out to each other.

Thinking of getting pet insurance for our kitten, Minty Fop. Anyone have a provider they'd recommend? Looking at lifetime rather than 12 month policy. Have heard horror stories about some policies being uselessly restrictive in terms what they'll actually cover when it comes to paying out.

The pigs seem to be going OK. They eat and drink most things. They spend the majority of their day time (from about half seven in the morning to about half nine at night) in the run outside, with several boxes and a tube to offer protection from the elements (there's a rain cover on half the ceiling, too). They'll eat from our hands but still skittish. Other than that, they hoover up the grass.

Finally got it sorted! Thank you for this. I ordered 4kg a month and see how it goes.

What I did learn: The hay box delivery is literally hay in a box and has sat in the kitchen all afternoon and now my hayfever is off the scale!

Theresa and Margaret have moved indoors during the day for the time being. Probably will stick a hutch in the MudRoom overwinter if the 2kg of hay in the covered outdoor hutch isn't sufficient
