Why are you both at increased risk (if you don't mind me asking)? I mean, unless you both just look really, really good for your age.

I’m asthmatic. Whenever I get a cold or flu it tends to exacerbate my asthma and I can have breathing difficulties. It’s well controlled normally but that’s when it really affects me.

I went to Tesco last night and it looked like it had been raided. No meat, no veg (fresh, tinned or frozen - except tinned peas for some reason), very little fruit, no pasta/rice/potatoes. No meds, no baby milks, no nappies etc. I basically managed to buy some biscuits and easter eggs.

Very bloody glad of my little brexit dry store right now.

For some reason, the only frozen veg left in my Tesco was peas. I did see a woman walking out with a trolley full of fresh broccoli, so I think she might know something the rest of us don't/

I haven't bought so little veg on a weekly shop in years.

We should be alright with the greengrocers up t'road but going in there triggers the same anxiety as a Subway (sandwich shop, not underground walkway) so might have to send Gaz.

Sorry to hear that, man. With the big measures rolling out here's hoping it'll be secretly rather safer than you're aware. Stay strong and big internet hugs to the both of you.

I’ve never been a clean freak or germophobe before but I just went to Sainsbury’s for my asthma prescription (that they didn’t have) and I was squicked out by anyone coughing or standing too close to me.

Im working from home but feel guilty for the people who can't and feel guilty for the fact that I am not at all as productive at home as I would be at the office
I have to let that go though, because my lungs are beyond shitty and the office is a. not caring about project work atm and b. being good about knowing the score and still saying stay home

anxiety is always a problem for me and obviously its raging atm, the shops thing makes me feel very unsafe in the world, though I think after last weekend the situation here is getting better.

Steve is also working from home, actually getting stuff done etc. Katie is also home, she will get a lesson plan tomorrow. She was very upset when school was closed because of loss of predictability and normalcy, but she's recovered and doing better now, tomorrow we will make a schedule which will help. Right now she's out on a lunch trip with Steve.

I think Boris is definitely feeling the strain. He looked like a stunned goldfish while listening to Chris Whitty on the news last night. Never was "Be careful what you wish for," more appropriate.

Chipotle sauce should be nailed on, you should have to opt out.

I feel the same about our local kebab shops. Not only is here too much choice of things I've never heard of, but you can't work out where the queue begins or ends. I've refused to go to them now, if were having a takeaway evening meal, and no bugger else volunteers to go.

In my local one, there's either someone just working the till or if they're short-handed, whoever makes the sandwich removes their gloves before using the till.

Tuna on Italian, cheese, lettuce, peppers, cucumber and mayonnaise for me.

You'd have been stopped after "Italian" because you didn't say what size you wanted. Fucking casual.

Footlong BMT on Hearty Italian, toasted with no cheese. Cucumber, tomato, lettuce and red onion. Bit of sweet chilli sauce.

That'll do me.

Footlong Spicy Italian on Herb and cheese with pickles, peppers, chillis, chilli flakes, black pepper and "as much chipotle sauce as you're allowed to give me please, mate".

Except not any more because that involves the outside.

The only sausages in Morrison's yesterday were chicken and 30% reduced fat pork ones. So there are still some standards.

The good butcher apparently has no supply issues, just ring an order in a couple of days in advance.

Since I'm working at home for who knows how long and I have about 90kg of charcoal I may as well get whole brisket and pork shoulder then.

Ours has split us into an A team and a B team who each go into the office half a week.

This is madness and I have therefore been placed into an exception team that no longer has to go in.

Fewer people congregating in one place. Made sense to me, even though we only did it for a week and a half before they basically said everyone WFH.

Officially working from home for two weeks now. It doesn't affect me too much as I work 99% from home anyway, but it gets me out of a training course next week which suits me fine.

All but essential training has been cancelled for us too.

I've just realised that Facebook have removed the post I shared about social isolation (from the Doc) as spam.

Our entire department has been working from home as of Monday, initially for two weeks. (In fairness we've all been set up for home working for years already, and do the occasional day from home as it is for various reasons, so it's nothing new in and of itself, apart from the duration.)

It's great, I get 50 minutes longer in bed for the same start time, don't have to put pants on, and get sex for lunch instead of a salad box. What's not to like?

(I've also got a room in the house that's segregated from the rest of the family with a laptop in it, so I can just get my head down and crack on with stuff without being disturbed.)
