Few things get me fully erect but A-10’s are on the list. The rotary cannons have got to be the sexiest most destructive nonsense man has built.

And that looks suspiciously like the infiltration of Bin Laden’s compound.

Same. However I’m very cool on the increased nickel and diming in the multiplayer.

Y’know what I liked about MW2 (And MW3)? Spec-Ops!

That was a brilliant addition to the game that I’d play with my mate Dan for hours on end, back in the day.

It’s coming back for MW4! Yay!

Exclusive for PS4.

For a year.

Oh boy...

When Ho-ho-hothly sends me his Pro for Xmas (for the good of gaming) I’ll play it with you. Playing any recent game on the base PS4 is like trying to sign into Netflix on a Betamax player.

My bro has been playing the Beta and is enjoying it very much.

I might buy this one after skipping a few.

I liked the beta - got to about level 10 over the weekend , at this point the killstreaks are useful but not overpowered , the weapons and TTK seem reasonably balanced and the maps are big / interesting with some additions from previous games

Even just in the beta it felt much more polished a game than BLOPS4 which just seems to have given up being "Call of Duty" and tries instead to be fortnight / some other battle royal game

Possibly too late but interesting

No lootboxes

Quote:
· We are introducing a new Battle Pass system, not a loot box system.

· All functional content that has an impact on game balance, such as base weapons and attachments, can be unlocked simply by playing the game.

· The new Battle Pass system will allow players to see the content that they are earning or buying. Battle Passes will launch timed to new, post-launch live seasons, so you can unlock cool new Modern Warfare-themed content that matches each season.

· With the new Battle Pass system, players will be able to earn COD Points by playing the game.

· There will be both a Free Stream and a Premium Stream of content in the Battle Pass System in Modern Warfare. New base weapons will be earned through gameplay, simply by playing Modern Warfare. Functional attachments for base weapons can be unlocked through gameplay as well just like in the game’s Beta.

· The Battle Pass and the In-Game Store will feature a variety of cosmetic content that does not impact game balance.

FISH SKWAD threw some jam at unsuspecting enemies last night, and had a jolly good time.

As you'd expect it looks fantastic, sounds great and the gameplay at this point has been honed down to a very sharp thing.

It's CoD, but a little more CoDdy. And that's no bad thing.

I'm enjoying it although the way they unlock and then make you pick all the different gun attachments is a bit of a faff and it may just me getting old but I'm often still in and playing around with 'setting' my gun when the next match starts :-)

I’ve played a bit of this (just not the campaign yet).

Gunfight is by far the best thing about it. 2v2 is surprisingly addictive.

Finished the campaign this morning, and they set up the inevitable sequels nicely.

The coop missions are fun but damn tough.

Got this coming with new GPU.

Wasn't that interested until I stumbled across a video of the terrorist house in London. Looks great. Very pretty too, it's nice to see next gen games rolling out now.

I look forward to getting my 'murica on.

The problem with the campaign is that it hasn’t progressed since, um, Modern Warfare. It’s a shooting gallery albeit a pretty one that has some decent set pieces. Clean House is (as far as I can see) the showpiece but it’s nothing more than a spooky horror house. If you’re playing on veteran difficulty and you’re looking the wrong way as a spooky ghost terrorist pops out then you instantly die and it’s back 10 seconds to try again. Press the button fast enough and it’s onto the next pop up terrorist. It’s boring and old gameplay with some new shiny graphics. Well, it’s not all boring, but it’s not the most engaging. Well, it’s sometimes engaging, but it’s not innovative. Frankly, I’d take this over last years no-campaign at all bull shit but that’s not to say that this campaign is all that. It’s often quite horrible as bad guys shoot an awful lot of unarmed innocents. Think No Russian but rather than participating in the atrocity you’re walking alongside it watching it unfold through a window. It’s a nasty bit of work really. I’m not entirely sure what I’m supposed to be taking away from the whole spectacle either: terrorists are bad? Yeah, sure. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s that the devs don’t have any ideas left; instead they just steal a whole bunch of scenes and ideas from the films they’ve been watching as you repeat sections of 13 Hours or whatever.

Mind you, I haven’t finished it yet, so I’ll reserve judgment, but whereas I’m enjoying it for what it is (and how pretty it is), I’m not exactly bowled over at the leaps and bounds in gameplay they’ve made since the original MW was released.

Did the campaign. Didn't like it.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Far, far too many stealth-type sections. In particular, what in the name of fuck made them think I wanted to play a stealth level as a 6 year old girl?!

With cross play enabled I had to play Gunfight against some PC plebs playing with mouse and keyboard like a pair of douches. As far as I can see, there’s no way to keep the KBAM warriors out other than leaving the lobby.

Anyway they got utterly annihilated as is only fair.

I would suggest that something you might expect of a survival horror is not something it makes sense to put into a shooter.

Your loss.

I played the first mission of the co-op Spec Ops yesterday which was surprisingly awesome. The map was massive and the action ramped up nicely from “gentle” to “REVIVE ME. IM HIT. ARGH. Thanks. FUCK IM DOWN AGAIN. SHIT THERES ANOTHER JUGGERNAUT. AND A FUCKING TANK? FOOOOK.”

I can’t wait to have a go at the other 3 missions now.

Crashy McCrash Game.

Only runs for about 10 mins, then gives me a direct x error.

Looked it up and you either have to lock it to 30FPS or nothing. I'll wait for the fix.

It's a shame, as the London bit is incredible.

OK I thought I had fixed it then. I still got about an hour though. It's a shame because I'm really having a great time. It's the best looking game I have played too, absolutely stunning.

Grim... the knife works well with the shield as you can aim and then just press to fire it while behind the shield until the last moment - if someone empties their clip into the shield you can kill them while they reload :-)
