Yes, as I subsequently found out.

For a moment I thought that this thread was a concerned with a week long celebration of ginormous lady mounds, oh how diasppointed I was.

However, for the Egg House it has got to be Fallout that will be joining the ever growing pile of games that I wish I had more time to play.

After the original Fable let me down I don't think I dare get my hopes up that it will be anything other than complete toss. With pet dogs.

I'm trying to decide what format to buy Dead Space on - 360, PC or (bwahahayeahrrright) PS3.

I have a feeling CoD 5 is going to be reasonably gash - if CoD 3 is anything to go by. I very much doubt it'll overtake CoD 4 for multiplayer numbers. CoD 6, on the other hand!

CoD 3 is just so shoddy in comparison to 2 and 4. I don't know why they have two different devs working on them.

To be fair to them, Treyarch only had a year to develop CoD3, whereas Infinity Ward have always had two years to create their games. FWIW I think that Treyarch created an excellent multiplayer game, whereas the single player is a bit of a let down. They've had two years to develop this game.

I reckon that CoD:WW is going to be superior to 3 by taking the best aspects of 3 and 4 for the multiplayer modes. Couple this with the 4-player co-op campaign and I think it's going to be quite good indeed.

So they can release a new game every year.

I quite enjoyed Fable, so I'll be intrigued to see what no.2 is like.
Fallout I know next to nothing about having never played any of the previous ones. I will say this, the videos I d/led from Marketplace didn't exactly make me want to rush out and buy it - it looks for all the world like a very brown FPS with stats building thrown in for good measure.
What was the other F again? Ah, Far Cry 2. I really enjoyed the first one and got quite close to finishing it but got hopelessly stuck on a stupid boss fight near the end. Boss fights, particularly bad ones, can fuck right off.

What is Dead Space? I've been really shit this year in keeping abreast of what's upcoming.

Dead Space is Resi Evil in space. It looks most excellent, but could be epically shit as well. It's an EA game, but they have been on form recently.

Also, four player co-op in CoD 5? Oooh! May well pick it up, then...

Not sure, persoanlly. I am thinking about getting Far Cry 2, due to the make your own map thingy, which sounds pretty cool tbf. I have never played Fallout, and Fable was very meh, so not fussed about Fable 2.
That Dead Space demo just confused me, I couldn't tell what was happening, but it looked good. Sadly, I don't really like third person shooters.

I quite enjoyed Fable. But then going back and reading all the stuff Molyneaux said you'd be able to do, it was understandable why people were disappointed. Hype really can make or break things.

Ooh - I'd be interested to see what you have to say. Mainly because it has co-op.

I'll deffo be getting Fable II (got a credit note with its name on it), so hopefully play some co-op with you guys on it.

Hmm. Should I get those stupid-looking "pub games" for it that are on XBLAH? They look stupid though.

I bought it a few weeks ago. It's pretty shoddy really, but a neat idea. Worth it if you get it for free, but I wouldn't drop 800 points on it. They're all games of chance, and although fairly original and pretty looking, chance gets a bit boring after a while when you're playing with virtual money.

7/32.6

11 DAYS.

SQUEEEEEE.

I have booked next friday off work. I suspect I'll end up spending the day playing with the boys, of course, but still, it's the thought that counts. I shall be Fallouting until the early hours.

So - was Fable 2 good then?

Gave it a good few hours! I kinda ploughed through the main story ignoring the side quests. However, I'm actually looking forward to playing through it again, which is a good sign.

My review will be up at 2PM today :)

My probable purchase order of new stuff unless one of them drops in price drastically before the others is:

Dead Space
Wasn't too convinced until I read the EDGE review: RE meets Event Horizon = Yes please sir!

Mirrors Edge
Yes I know it's not out yet or reviewed but it looks awesome and I have much to play through before I buy anything else yet anyway.

Fallout 3
IF it's ZOMG, which it should be.

Fable 2
Would be next on the list but I'm all pixied up with Oblivion still so a break from the fantasy stuff is in order.

Far Cry 2 this Friday, I've even got the day off (not especially for that, it's just a happy coincidence). Other than that I don't know, maybe Mirror's Edge. There's too many games and I'm afraid I'll fall into the trap of buying them and not playing them enough to do them justice. Must stay strong.

I find the trick is to pick one game and buy it (Fallout 3 for me, unless the reviews are shit, which I can't see) and play it until you are bored and only then expose yourself to more gaming news. Otherwise the temptation is too strong.

This means you have to stop going to games sites, of course. Plus I'm going to have to drive around and murder most of the Beex posters in their sleep, starting with Jonarob and his Fable 2 enthusiasm.

theres 3 reviews on metacritic already all print stuff so im guessing the online deadline thing is 2pm for everyone today.

Heck even edge gave it a 9, and gameplayer reckons molyneux has finally delivered on his promises which sounds like too promising than my head can handle.

Official xbox magazine gave fallout 3 10/10.

Sits flush but the blue border makes it look wonky.
