It's not like we were drowning in them pre-2008.

They're overrated imho. All they could really do was bite people and turn into bats so then they made it that they've got super strength and are really good at things like kung fu as well. What next?

There's the racist and sexual undertones of an outsider polluting your womenfolk's blood.

Yer literal Dracula had more powers than "bite people and turn into bats."

Also, the Vampire: The Masquerade RPG this is based on had a really deep and interesting power system and hierarchy system for vampires. It's one of the best takes on this I've ever seen.

You think game developers are going to shy away from racist and sexual overtones?!

No. Calzone is a quintessential food type.

Pasties, pies, dumplings, scotch eggs, and ravioli are all calzones.

Does a toasted cheese sandwich morph from a sandwich to a calzone if you do it in a breville sandwich toaster?

VTMB is among my favourite games of all time. This has original writer Brian Mitsoda and Chris Avellone on board. Also Cara Ellison from Rock Paper Shotgun. There's no reason for not to be excellent.

A cross-shaped toastie is actually just an unfolded calzone.

Also, there are LOADS of vampire games, they just all look awful.

T'were ver good indeed. One of my favouritest xbox 360 arcade games, that. Some of the later 2d ones are meant to be good.

I've had this for ages, but have been afeared of playing it just incase it doesn't live up.

The first one of the 360-era was excellent. A nice mix of God of War (the early ones not the reboot) and DmC (the early ones not the reboot).

The various GBA and DS versions are very good. I wasn't much for Lords of Shadow though, although I mainly bought it for the limited edition Dracula's tomb thing.
