Where's the icon for whoring stuff on the forum [fumbles around icons].......... close enough. I've finally got around to listing my 2008 Macbook Pro. It has 4GB of RAM (a massive 4194304K) and a 500 GB hybrid hard drive. That's enough for as many as 30 Amstrad CPC games! And the latest version of OSX, Sealion or whatever it's called (Mountain Lion you idiot - Ed)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200937155279?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

And if you want a spare Magsafe:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200937169439?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Transmission ends. I now return you to your scheduled edition of Columbo.

You've specified that you won't end the auction early. Do let us know how many people ask to end the auction early, won't you?

Yeah but asking for your buy it not price isnt asking to finish it early :-)

I'd also be interested if you get the same as I do and have one person who obviously wants a brand new item asking really annoying questions that would require you to do something so 'do you have the original box' and the bit of cellophane that the plug was wrapped in , can you find out if there is any warranty left on it , can you tell me if the base has a little sticker to say serial number or is it carved into the case , and of course after answering all of their questions they respond with "whats your buy it now price"

I've installed Mountain Lion on it. But the thought suddenly occurs that now Apple tie the OS to the Apple ID this may not work and the user may need to purchase a new copy of the OS? Any ideas?

Grrr, thought it would be as simple as an install.

What did it come with?

You could roll it back to SL (or whatever) and inform the buyer that if they want to upgrade, it's on their head.

It should only be a problem if they want to reinstall though, surely?

Doubt I have that media anymore. Was probably Leopard.

I've stuck a note at the bottom saying that it comes with Mountain Lion but they may be required to pay £14 to Apple to activate Mountain Lion. Can't see what else to do,

Updates are now done via the Apple Application store.

So you have to validate your OS install for a minor update?

The new owner would have to buy their own license and activate it then. An Apple Genius© could sort that for them I reckon.
