So Fifa 14 on the 3DS has new kits and an updated 2014 roster (ie. the player's names) and that's it. Other than that, it is identical to Fifa 13.

And yet it costs £40.

Stay classy, EA.

Apparently it's the same on the Vita, although I can't find a source for that.

Because I haven't looked for one.

[edit] I've found a source now.

This sounds like bad news to me. If EA decide that they aren't going to support Nintendo consoles then it could impact on console sales. Didn't this happen with the Dreamcast? EA announced that they wouldn't support it so that contributed to it going bump.

It's not coming out for the Wii U, they could not even be bothered to release a rehash like they have done with the Vita & 3DS

It's true, and Fifa 13 was the same as Fifa Football. So it means they've released three identical games on the Vita apart from the kits and player names.

I'm annoyed by this on principle because it's obviously utter money-grabbing bullshit. But then I think that people who buy yearly franchise games are idiots anyway so I stop caring so much. And then I wonder whether all the cash that idiots give to publishers like EA each year potentially help fund proper games that I actually like so I start caring again.

So, to sum up: I dunno what I think.

Dreamcast didn't have Mario, Zelda, Pokemon etc. EA is big, but not really why people by the systems. Compare that with the rise of Sega coinciding with Madden and NHLPA games being massive.

Yeah, android as well. Although, tbf, the full game appears to only £2.99 which isn't a fortune, but you seem to get a decent amount for free. It is tricky to get the hang of, scoring is stupidly easy (on beginner) and the run function doesn't work at all, but other than that ...
