I called into the local modern art museum over my lunch break today. The main exhibit was four large CRT screens showing footage of streetlamps, with an ambient electric hum blaring out from hidden speakers in the ceiling.

I'd like to say that it opened my mind into new insights on the human condition or showed something of the world in a different and unexplored manner. But it was just footage of streetlamps.

Aye, it was a bad time. Unfortunately that group was very threatening. One shot at my brother Paul with an air rifle. Caught him in the leg when he wasn't yet two years old.

Anyway, that aside, they did eventually end up building them a small estate around the back of Brent Park Tesco, to get them off the land.

Apparently the diesel was the stuff used in the printing machines so it would have been pretty low grade stuff.

Just because the government says something doesn't make it true, of course.

Jedi was on the census results as a religion, if you recall.

As I mentioned before on Irish vs "Irish Traveller", they can't possibly be considered different races/ethnicities without suggesting something unsavoury WRT the latter's breeding pool.

They're just a subset of people from (or with antecedents from) a particular country who, oftentimes, behave in a certain way - and that behaviour is all that really differentiates them from the rest of their fellow countrymen. Same applies to Arsenal supporters, doesn't make them an ethnic grouping.

I'm of the opinion that classification by race is both outdated and instinctively dodgy. Country of birth is a more useful measure for studying where people are from these days, I think.
