Well, any one older than 14 has already experienced 2 (and 14 people alive - according to wikipedia - have seen 3), but will most people see 1 or 2 in their life?

Maths innit.

Say the average person lives for 80 years. There is only a 20 year window where they will see only one century so 4/5 people will see 2*

*may not be true, I am quite quite drunk.

Ah, but that's this country and for people born in the last few years, what about people born in 1765 (for example)?

Mrs Grim...'s great-aunt lived in three centuries. The telegram from the Queen was most dull.

Based on what calendar? I've experienced two in the Gregorian calendar, a different two in the Julian calendar, another two in the Islamic calendar and another in the Jewish calendar. And doubtless many more as well.

Most people will never even experience one. Snooker is insanely difficult.

Probably none in the future as a global apocalypse is due, more than likely the Global Warming we are experiencing at the moment will result in a new Ice age, the Inuit Empire will rise and reign for a short while but they will flounder when they find a stockpile of Nuclear Weapons in the Icy tundra in a bunker that is located in what we now know as Nevada.

The resulting Empire wide power struggle will end with the last of the Eskimos hiding in the Ice fields of the Arctic slowly dieing of radiation. Sad but true.

May not be true
