if this is true, then it is true for everyone. then everyone would behave recklessly in a consequence free environment. ergo, i cannot be indestructable in any universe. ergo i must be a special flower.

The giant Lego store was not as awesome as I thought it might be. They had a lot of lego, don't get me wrong, but it was probably more expensive than buying it from Amazon.

Pfffft.

On the other hand, I GOTS GUNDAMS. I even got a mini-gundam for First Born to make.

On the other other hand, I think I may have destroyed my shoes by walking around for 6 hours in the rain.

On the other other other hand, If I hadn't done that I woudn't have had cuttlefish and gone to Raffles' Long Bar. I will be making me some Slings when I get home. Obviously not for 26 Sing Dollars (plus tax! The plus tax always gets you)

Before that I went round some more malls to get presents, then I wandered up to Sim Lim Square to look for some electronics stuff, but that was way too intimidating with lots of people trying to flog me phones and me knowing nothing about anything, so I beat a retreat. I then walked to little india, which was okay - went through the market and kept getting accosted by stall holders cos I'm Western and clearly have money to spend as a result (or so they think). I got dragged into someone's shop when I displayed a tiny amount of interest in something outside, and it took 10 minutes to extricate myself. Don't like that sort of thing at all so I didn't hang around the market long. I then went up to a bonkers place called the Mustafa Centre, which is a bit like a mall crossed with a market and a car boot, and it sold pretty much everything. Full of locals, so clearly popular. I then walked to Arab Street and had a look around, and saw some mosques and things. All the while it's raining, mind, and my shoes were literally full of water. I'm not sure they'll dry out by tomorrow. I also think I have trench foot.

Hopefully tomorrow won't be so catastrophically wet.

Cricklade itself is quite a nice little place too, I recommend a visit. For a lunch and then a walk, because it's not very big.

Go over to him and introduce yourself as Kalmar from the internet before sharing your plans with him for an electric spaceship. If he buys the idea you could be rich beyond your dreams.
