Jeff is a perfectly acceptable spelling, as it is my Dad's name.

No, Curio, anyone called Jeffery had parents who couldn't spell. Just like anyone called Graeme. It's GRAHAM.

There's a tiny little corner shop that I pass on the way to work and stop in if I want energy drink. It sells drinks and sweets and a few magazines and things - only enough room for two customers in it at once, you know the sort.

Anyway, this tiny little shop sells direct-from-the-US Big Red Cinnamon Gum. I love that stuff!

Drawn a winning ticket in one of our works Children in Need raffles! Don't know what my prize is yet as they're all being revealed at 5pm. There's an iPod Touch, a 'tablet computer', Expensive Champers, John Lewis Hamper and lots of other 'quite good but not what I really want' stuff.

I ended up with a box of mixed 'stuff'.

2 x Cross Stratford Pens (never heard of them but they're £30 each)
1 x small cuddly Giraffe
1 x Christmas Keyring
1 x Hot drinks mug (like the Macdonalds coffee shape but white plastic)
1 x Universal power adapter
1 x solar charger (pretty handy that)
1 x travel chess set
1 x neoprene laptop case (12")
1 x luggage weight thing.

Pretty good even though it's no iPod.

:)

We have two appointments for potential tenants for our current house. If either goes for it, that's the last piece in the puzzle that is our house move adventure and we can finally get moved. Then there's just the new baby to worry about

There's a pair of Swans in the Dock near where I workwho I noticed build a nest last year and laid eggs but sadly non of them hatched.

I went for a walk around the docks today and saw another huge empty nest, then the two swans, then four cygnets.

The cheek... They have 5 albums don't you know. I went to see them in 2010 and they were great. They'd just released a new album then and joked about it being over exposure for them.

My brother used to be really into them and played their CDs to death, so consequently I hated them, in particular, their Homebelly Groove Live CD which seemed to go on forever.

I wish some cunt would buy this house. It's priced competitively and we've clearly been doing exactly the right sort of things to it that make it totally-move-in-able.

I mean WTF, it's not like there's a massive economic crisis playing out or anything.

Unfortunately we need the equity so can't rent it. Or even take the 20% hit of one of those "webuyanyhouse" merchants (more cash4gold predation. Urgh. "Prices have fallen 20% since you bought it 3 years ago" "Next door sold for the same less than a year ago" "But that was last year!" - presumably you could drive them right down to a few seconds before they picked up to explain the 20%-below-market-value offer when the reality is that selling price hasn't changed on this street for years, though we're asking under that).
