I was looking at it recently.

I still have to try Ticket to Ride & figure that out.

If you haven't got Caverns of Minos yet, now you can get it for 69p.

http://appshopper.com/games/caverns-of-minos

Worth it for the Mothersheep alone.

Nah, it's fairly simple. Takes a few games to figure out what the bloody hell is going on, but once you get the hang of some of the idiosyncrasies, it's awesome.

10000000 is ace. It's a match-three style RPG, but that's where the comparisons with Dungeon Raid end. You don't match on a static grid; you pull and push rows and columns around. You don't die between games; you have a static character with a huge amount of tricks and upgrades to buy. And you don't have life; you have time, which is always ticking away, so you can't think about moves endlessly.

It's eating my morning.

Oh my, I'm so sorry. I'm finding this insanely compelling.

According to the forums on Toucharcade, it's mercifully short. 5-10 hours or so to complete. I'm thinking that's a good thing.

I've clocked up an hour so far. It's mind-bendingly rushed at first, isn't it. Fun, though. And my brain is shit at matching things up at the moment. I think it'll take a little while for it to switch on properly.

Aye, the switch from the normal 3-way matching to this version is frustrating me at the moment.

You get used to it quite quickly. Or at least, I did. Cleaning up your grid between encounters, while the guy runs along, is very important.

I feel like the experience system means even the most worst run will always earn you some progression, which takes a lot of the sting out of the luck element.

Maxed. Took about four and a half hours of playtime according to the in-game clock (felt like a lot more though). Brilliant little game.

I did it by accident! Unlocked the last level and did a run to grind out the XP for the "10% score boost" perk. Didn't activate any of the score boost potions. Had a really lucky run, around about the time I passed 8 million I started thinking "hey, wait a sec" and burning up all my good items. Scored 13 million in the end.

Nailed it. Made about 17m on my final run. Still had my potions turned to make me more gold and XP (though I had long run out of things to spend XP on). Didn't quite max out armour or shield, but the weapons were all maxed out.

Excellent fun little game. Especially once your brain gets the hang of the column movement, especially wrapping around the ends

Not quite? Does that mean it's almost one of the best games of all time?

Also, I agree with Russ. I laugh every time I pass Zardoz et al in the first ten seconds.

The first Hunters was in App purchasey horribleness.

This still has them, but also has difficulty levels, and a single player campaign (that appears from ~5hrs play to be sans grind), I would say its well worth picking up at 69p.

Significantly better than the first - I've really enjoyed it.

A great little game, but twice now after playing it I have pulled my phone out of my pocket about 30 minutes later and it has been very warm and completely unresponsive, needing a hard reset to get it working again.

Kingdom Rush is indeed very, very good.

But game of the moment for me is Rayman Jungle Run. /£1.99

It's really, really bloody good. Controls like an endless runner, but plays like a platformer.

So good in fact, I've just picked up Origins for the PS3...

Being that Temple run is a horrible time-gambling-addiction machine thats been carefully constructed to drive In-App-Purchases whilst Rayman is an actual game, with levels and carefully constructed progression that involves you getting better rather than your stats: Very.

Yeah, I'm not the best fan of temple run... If you want something to fill a quick 30s I would recommend

Super Hexagon!

It's a game where surviving for 15 secs makes you feel like a hero.

I've never felt like purchasing anything in Temple Run. What would you buy that you can't get from 5 minutes actually playing the game?
