Sure, post up a justgiving link or something. Any sponsorship that involves more effort than clicking a few buttons on a website is unlikely to happen though...

If it does happen, I think she'll do that, yeah. I'm not terribly happy with the enterprise, though, truth be told.

I do find the idea behind it slightly disturbing - those memories are what make you 'you' , if you did not have them then you would not be the same you that you are now.

(and yes I don't have any particularly disturbing memories , and I can imagine particularly painful or traumatic memories that it would be better to forget but I would be more worried that I wouldn't be me anymore)

BTW if anyone is watching it theres a new US TV show called 'Perception' (3rd ep was on Sunday) and the show deals with quite a bit of memory stuff this week including someone who had a similar condition to the main character in Memento

You'd end up falling back in love with the person you forgot, in an angsty and kooky fashion to a Polyphonic Spree soundtrack.

wooo - are they new ?

(the colours for some dont quite seem right and the inclusion of Akuma & T-Hawk but none of the other newer characters is odd as well but that doesnt matter :-)

** Edit ** - damn custom rather than a new series

We love imaginative LEGO sets here at Geekosystem, but we’ve often neglected the amazing world of LEGO minifig customization. This collection of 16 characters from Street Fighter 2 by Julian Fong demonstrates just what we’ve been missing out on.

Sadly, these minifigs are custom-made one-of-a-kind offerings for the moment. However, Fong writes that he’s submitted the designs to LEGO CUUSO — the Kickstarter-like program where fan created sets can become official LEGO products. Though not currently on the site, all it will take is 10,000 votes for this to become a reality. Here’s hoping!

Heh.

I had the premier account for a while for free, due to the size of our mortgage in London, but they changed the thresholds and took it off us. Back when we first had it, it was great because you were guaranteed to get a Scottish call centre rather than India, but these days you always get UK call centres anyway, so I can't see the point in basically just paying money for travel insurance which you'll never use.

Stuck at home with my leg in a splint is a rubbish time to discover what a complete malaise I am in with video games. Everything I've tried so far that thought I would enjoy playing apart from Birds Of Steel just seems shit and boring. Probably mostly because I know that I can't I just want to be outside and doing stuff, I'd even rather be at work. >:(

Home insurance time again. I made the error of sticking some quotes into a comparison site, and the 4 phone calls I've received this morning have almost killed my phone battery and I need to speak to the current insurer as they seemed to be very reasonable, and I won't have to do anything. next week, it's car insurance time. I love the end of July/beginning of August. Admin a go go. 306 is booked in for the 8am slot with the garage ("We'll put the car throughthe MOT and talk about what needs to be done")

Had a chat with my manager this morning (different from my boss) and all is good. It's a sunny day here and we're off for a curry for lunch in bradford. Hurrah. Then, I'm going home and going to the pub for a bit, stopping by the Co-Op (I think the lass fancies me, she's quite fit, actually) for MOAR BEERZ and then home to watch the opening Olympic ceremony.

I assume MrsA might arrive home at some point, too, as she's been working too much recently. She's off to Baltimore in late October for a conference, which happens after her current contract expires, so it looks like she's staying working at her current place. I was going to meet her in New York afterwards, but I'm not spending oer a grand for a three night break there.

Can you booze with the pain killers you're on?
I had a haemochromatosis review yesterday. I've been told I should keep my alcohol intake to 20 units or less, since the disease affects the liver too.

Seems a bit like locking the barn door after the horse has bolted since I spent many years drinking way too much with very high iron, where now I have normal iron, but still - I can't really ignore medical advice.

Cunt.

Worse, I probably had more than 20 units on Wednesday night at the Brewdog pub.

I wish to know more, my 4am Saint.

I don't see why not. However then I would be bored and pissed as opposed to just bored.

I can't even build plastic models as I need to keep my leg straight when it's resting. I suppose I could always try reading. ?:|

S'alright, if expensive - £4.25 a pint for 5AM Saint. They do tasters so you don't lump in for something you hate. There's a 10% Imperial Pale Ale that I didn't like. They've got a brilliant Japanese Belgian beer for £7 a bottle though. I had two, because I'm a muppet like that.

Going on a dozen guest ales listed on the wall to go with the bottles. Oh, and the "Never Mind the Anabolics" Olympics special is starting there on Saturday.

The food is odd - nice burgers, nice-ish pizzas, no chips. You literally get a burgerinnabunwithsalad on a wooden board.

Will drink there again. For the 2 pints I'm allowed. :'(

Hmm, maybe a place to go to for a couple, then on to somewhere else. I wanted to celebrate my first real paycheck by going to the North Bar and having an Arrogant Bastard (£10.40 a bottle/pint) but MrsA wouldn't let me, as she's a KILLER OF DREAMS. I've gone a bit off beers over 5% now, with the exception of "King Rat" which was awesome. When I was at Wayne Manor on Saturday, it was £15 for 4 tins of Red Stripe. Which wasn't great, as I'd already given her ex £55 for the tickets which severely cut ito my booze monies.
