He's more Wozniak I'd say.

Can I do as I wish now, Mr Dave?

If he wanted a boggo laptop or a gaming machine, I'd understand your stance more, but he's after a very specific type of Ultrabook, of which at the moment the MBA is the best available (all the others recommended aren't available in this country).

His alternative is to wait, but that's a rubbish option.

Let me clarify 5) - not something running MacOS. What's the hassle involved in making it run Windows?

1) Insert Windows CD
2) click about six buttons
3) profit

But if you boot OS X and hit Boot Camp you get a wizard that'll walk you through shrinking your OS X partition (down to a minimum of about 10-15 GB I think), installing a Windows CD, and then installing a full driver pack from Apple that comes with display/trackpack/wifi/etc etc drivers in one lump. Then you set the default boot volume to be the Windows one (you get a special Windows Control Panel icon for this) and you're off. Downside: you're out 10 GB of disk. Upside: OS X is there if you ever want to use it for anything.

That really was quite easy, I have to admit.

You appear to be technically incorrect

I never made any judgement on the machine itself, just pointing out that you were technically incorrect (Else I would've gone for a non acer one, what with acers not being overly good - I know for a fact that there is a rather nice lenovo one, for instance.)

ProNG? That's pretty sharp.

I beg to differ.

T'was a joke. Gaywood once demonstrated Airport to Craster and I at a party he was having. But so many people in his house saturated his wireless network, and it wouldn't work.
