Not getting chickens. There's a restrictive convenant on the property preventing this.

Yup - you need heavy gauge wire fencing, which you then need to run about half a metre plus down under ground, and then out and away from the fence horizontally to the for another half a metre or so.

I've got this. I'm also not allowed to run a steam engine, hold a faire or build a brick kiln.

How smart are badgers, exactly? Because by my calculations, burying a couple of landmines would be a lot less work than the bend-o-fence.

There are probably more than a couple of badgers.

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering how smart they are. If they're pretty smart, they'll see the first two get blown up and think "fuck that garden."

If they're really smart, though, they'll keep sending further badgers in to rule out coincidence, perhaps with another few running about in a separate area as a control.

No, they'll carefully lift them, replant them under your front doormat, then move in on the chickens when the coast is clear.

Kalmar might want to get down to Newquay to win one. Also lots of mid to late 90's arcade machines in the Newquay arcades but nothing earlier barring a 2 player Space Invaders.

It depends on which bit you go to. I'd imagine it's terrible at night. The aquarium was good and it was nice having a drink down by the harbour. The town itself was full of shops selling crap, surfers and pikeys.

It did however kill a few hours on a day when the weather was abit variable and we did drive back the long way stopping off at Bedruthan Steps.

No post....... So now I have no shoes, no clothes and no contact lenses. I'm going to have to go in to town and hope to god there's something in one of the 2 shops, that I can wear tonight. :'( So much for next day delivery (ordered Thursday).

Also: The boy is going on a school trip to Paris on Monday, so I just got stung for £100 in Euros, English money and "Ooh, I need £10 for a T-shirt so we don't get lost" as well as a load of other stuff they need to take with them. Bloody school trips...

Just watched Chasing Amy with the missus.

Well... correction, just watched half of Chasing Amy with the missus. Then watched the remainder on my own.

Why do women always fall asleep during films?

Anyway, great film.

What caused MaliA to utter the words "Be quick, we'll have this and settle the tab and cheese it" this early evening?

Was it:

A) An ex girlfriend walked into the pub
B) MaliA done a bad smell
C) MrsA picked up the ketchup bottle, producing a spurt that reached almost 4 feet, landing mere inches away from the lass in the White dress requiring tit tape, then her whole group looking around for the culprit, revenge in their eyes.

So it turns out that my friend wouldn't have a problem with going out with an atheist after all.

I feel I should dig out the go-back-in-time-a-tron and inform my past self of this, so I wouldn't spend the best part of a year refraining from jumping on her because I thought the religion thing would get in the way.

Bah.

On the plus side, great night, and I got someone to watch Roger and Val and Cracker (that's two separate things, not one very unconventional cross-over).

I am so sore today. I can barely move.

Whatever made me think that playing 8 games of football yesteray in the blazing sun whilst wearing no sunscreen and drinking copious amounts of booze was a good idea?

Had a cracking time though. :D

Just come back from this. The parade was quite good, albeit a little small. Then we paid our £2.50 to get into the main area, and saw a falconry display, listened to a speech by the head of the garrison, had a burger and a pint of beer. We watched some dancing and stuff like that, then there was a parachutist display which was pretty awesome, indeed. It was pretty pro.

And i bought a boules set from Lidle for a tenner, which is ace.

Bloody kids, I've explained time and time again that the cats want to eat the hamster so she has to close the bedroom door, what do I find? door open and two kittens attempting to break into his cage. >:( I like my hamster, the hamster is friendly, chilled out and won't shit on your hands which is rare in a hamster.

Congrats, that sounds like a nice move.

In my not-so-new-now job, last week I got to shout "reverse the polarity!" as a 6000 volt arc crackled across the bench. With no sense of making an in-joke, at all. I <3 my job sometimes.

That's pretty cool, if a little ungentlemanly.
I suppose it's only really effective if you're holding the tip of the sword at the opponent's breast, as it'd be a bugger to aim otherwise.

I like to think they stab then fire, like in a Robert Rodriguez film :DD
