Security companies are the excellent for names that probably could have done with another twenty minutes' thought. Solar Security is a good example, but Watchmen Alarms always makes me smile. I want to know if their rates include an allowance for hiring extra guards to watch the first lot.

My all-time favourite is the Titanic Café on the Holloway Road, though. Presumably, halfway through your meal the waiter kicks your table over and throws buckets of ice water in your face while a dance band plays Abide With Me.

What is annoying is that there's no new stable VirtualBox with Windows 7 compatible Guest Additions yet.

Theory: Run a program, right-click on its icon in the whatever-its-called, "Pin to taskbar". I was about to try that by installing Chrome, then got distracted by Guest Additions.

Basis: Right-clicking on icons already there has an un-pin option.

I've just been to The Shops to buy some carrots and cabbage for The Singing Tribe with me Ma. She met someone in there who she hadn't seen for a while, and in an odd twist he'd had his legs amputated not long ago due to smoking and poor circulation. The conversation consisted of:
"Ooh! I didn't see you down there!"
"Yes! I am in a wheelchair as my legs have been amputated!"
"I was going to kick you in the leg, but you haven't got any!"
"Yes! I have no legs!"
"Do you need any help as you have no legs?"
"No, thank you. I have no legs."
For about 5 minutes.

Different subject, me and Madame K are going for a 'city break' to (boringly) Newcastle in a few weeks. I spent a while finding a posh hotel with good reviews in a nice location, only to find that they've gone bust in the last day or two. Arse.

So it turns out my new anxiety dream is driving my car and skidding out of control on a bend, with the car smashing sideways through fences and trees, constantly sliding sideways over bumpy ground until I hit something and wake up in a sweat.

I am glad someone 'ha'd, I thought it had been sorely overlooked.

The more I think of it, the more I'm going to class it as a Sunday Afternoon with a hangover film. SO I'll give it 73%.

Although, I did laugh a lot at times. So maybe 85%

I kinda enjoyed so I know what you're on about - I think it's a style of film that's very tricky to get just right and it frequently relies on great casting, which mostly worked but I think some of the rapport amongst the leading players was lacking that sprinkling of magic that really makes a film like this shine. That and it's slightly too long for it's own good.

I killed a rat this morning. I gave no quarter and he was swiftly despatched with a kitchen knife.

I liked 'Stardust'. Best attempt at something like 'The Princess Bride' in a while (though obviously not as good).

Also, as well as hidden tracks, I hate artist who merge together two songs, have some sort of unnecessary coda, or talking/silence/noises between tracks.

My favourite track off the last Kenna album was ruined by having a ludicrously lame bit of silence afterwards, and then some rubbish that lasted for a while. So I can't ever put it on a playlist. It's also awkward to put tracks by Amanda Palmer on playlists, as generally there's some silence and 'atmospheric' whispering after the tracks that lasts for half a minute.
