I'm curious, if it's best games are available elsewhere for cheaper and there are genuine hardware issues then what currently makes it "brilliant"? That seems like a hard argument.
For me, I don't actually own a Wii U so I haven't been able to experience the likes of Zelda, Mario Kart and Splatoon so the Switch is the first time I've seen them all. There's also more than just those 3 games available for it. Already the online shop has something like over 100 games so there's plenty to pick from. I've got 15 games for mine ranging from the big hits like Zelda through to Neo Turf Masters on the Neo Geo.
As for the hardware issues, I've experienced no problems with it at all. My controllers always connect and stay connected, the screen isn't scratched and the console definitely isn't warping so like a lot of these things, I'm not sure whether it's just internet hype that's exaggerating the issues that a few people have experienced.
As for the console being brilliant, I genuinely think it is. I do a lot of my gaming away from a telly so the Switch is ideal for that. Being able to play 'proper' games on a decent sized screen is ace and the thing itself feels lovely. I may be bias as I've always been a fan of Nintendo (but not enough to buy a Wii-U for some reason?!?) but the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console.
