The "liberal elite" for want of a better term, and I include ourselves in that description, need to take a long hard look at the self-affirming bubbles we surround ourselves with. Out of touch has never been more apt.
Selfishly, this might help the UK economy a little bit, the US is no longer the safe haven to run towards, it makes us look slightly less insane.
He is the President Elect, not the President. Who knows what the fuck is going to happen next! Legal challenges, war, global depression, assassinations, resignations, etc... Before the last few years I would have never have considered that a President Elect wouldn't actually take office, but it seems all bets are off for anything!
