I haven't been happy with the Windows 10 update. I duel boot with linux and it basically deleted the linux partition and so messed up the grub loader thingy making the laptop unbootable.
Had to boot using a live CD and use testdisk to recover the partition. Still need to reinstall grub but it got too late last night.
Bloody thing.

From past experience, I'd say there's a 98% chance that's Grub's fault.

I expected having to set up grub again, just wasn't expecting a whole partition to become unallocated.
Oh well, one of those things. Haven't actually tried Windows 10 yet so can't really add anything other than my tale of woe.

The workaround is here according to my friend who has had the same problem.
