Mrs Grim... is already hunting for early tickets.

You do that joke every day.
Every day you love me more.
There is a question of pride here.

Quite.

It was my first album. One of the many, many reasons I try to repress my youth.

I've always liked MrsGrim... As far as I can see, they're not available yet. Let me know how she gets on please.
He should go on tour supporting Kylie.

me too, but I know why, it is because my company is run by retards, and the management are all cunts.

:DD

Are you in management?
My team is currently stuck in the middle a power war between our Team Leader and the IT Director. It's tedious and I'm sick of hearing about it. Grr
We're having a bit of a reshuffle.

I'm moving desk to the corner. For the first time in five years nobody will be able to see my screen.

The power! THE POWER!
In our last reshuffle we went from a grim office with a great view of drunks beating the crap out of each other to a chilly room with a great view of the bike sheds.
I'm not in the best of moods, either. I think I'm too tired to do anything as well or as interestingly as I want.

The most I have managed today involved sending a humorously worded meeting request.

Maybe you and MrsGrim... could be neighbours. Everyone needs good neighbours.

Can't you just switch off their extension leads?

I'd switch off their fucking life support, given the chance.

But.. I'm alone in the office so...

I insist you do that now, DavPaz.

I remember sitting on a desk in the corner. I managed to watch an entire Royal Rumble on Youtube once without anyone realising.

I did. That's my gif :)
As I have to pick The Child up, I will have to leave early. As well as possibly bobbing out this afternoon to pick up Little Ka.

Hurrah!
Went to a UK Five Guys just off the Strand on Saturday. The burger and fries were just as good as I've had in the colonies, but as we discussed a few weeks ago it was expensive for what it was.

The hot dogs are the thing to get at 5 guys, cheaper and better than the burgers.

You haven't answered the main question though, which drink did you get from the magic machine?

Holy shit, I wonder how much they are? I've totally got room for one in the new house.

Noted.

Coke Zero. I know how to live. And yes, for a drinks dispenser they are splendidly over-engineered. Would need one at home that does beers, lagers, and wines too.

Have you seen this :

I went to 5 Guys a week or two back and really liked it. The burger and fries were better than most, plus the magic drinks machine is magic. I only filled my glass a little up so I could try about six different drinks.
So on the hour and a lot trip home from London I’ve been listening to music about Norse mythology while reading A Profound Mind by HH the Dalai Lama, and I consider myself a Christian.

It’s been an odd night.
They've got a magic drinks machine in my local pizza Hut. And the harvester next door.
We’ve got one of them in Pizza Hut too. Is that what they’re talking about? That’s less exciting than I’d hoped.
Train number 3 to get to work. I hope the car is ready later....

The number of cash machines blown up by criminal gangs in London has increased by 2,000% in a year, the BBC has learned.

Wow. That's quite the increase.

Quote:
Criminals targeted 21 cash points in 2014, pumping them with flammable gas before igniting them.

A Freedom of Information request to Scotland Yard revealed there was just one incident in 2013.

Ah.

Oh, those ones. They have them in Burger King now.

The man loves an exclamation mark. Oh yes he does!
Mr Windsor is entitled to lobby and petition government for redress of grievance as much as any other citizen. If he seeks a job in government in the future, however, he might need to learn to keep silent in case his position becomes untenable.

BE VIGILANT, CITIZENS

Police around here could protect kids more by enforcing seat belt laws rather than harass dog walkers.

They had them on the cruise ship I honeymooned on. When you paid for the drinks package you got a 'souvenier' cup which had a tag on the bottom so as when you put it in one of these machines it recognised your package and poured.
When the girls recognise my package they pour.

That's amazing. Is it the same one that was on the news a while ago? If so, he had a really old CRT tv to watch his Star Trek videos on.
Today I got a DivMMC for my Speccy+, and it was working perfectly.

Then, while messing about, in a moment of incredibly stupid carelessness I had a brainfart and attempted to plug it in while the power was still on. I have read a thousand times that this is the one thing you should NEVER do with a Spectrum.

I just fried my 30 year old Spectrum+. I cannot even begin to explain how gutted I am and how appalled with myself.

Anyone know if this is fixable? Which part is it that gets toasted? I tried swapping the ULA with a 48k (which unfortunately does not seem to work with the DivMMC), but that wasn't the problem. Everything else seems to be soldered in.
I'm gutted for you Lasermink. I can't imagine how annoying that must have been.

Are you on Twitter? Chinny would be the best person to ask and he's on there a lot these days.
Thanks. It really is mind boggling what made me do that. I knew it the instant they touched and the screen went bzzt, but it was done and can never be undone.

What's Chinny's name on twitter?
Thanks! I have sent him a message via ChinnyVision on youtube, so I'll leave it at that for the moment.
All I want to know is "Is Miley Cyrus on crack?"

Her spectacular crash is pretty much of the Lohan variety.
