Hello!

I haven't been around a huge amount recently but I've come begging (again). I do love you guys really, though.

You may recall that in 2012 I did a 2,000 mile drive round the UK over 48 hours in a 45 year old car (which had already done 250,000 miles!) to raise funds for Children with Cancer.

This year we’re doing it again, this time for Macmillan Cancer Support, and the Club’s objective is to raise more than the £65,000 it raised in 2012 for Children with Cancer UK. We raised around £800 ourselves in 2012, which we were dead chuffed with.

The Round Britain Reliability Run, which is organised by Club Triumph and takes place every other year, was first run in 1966 and is still unchanged in its objective to drive around Britain in a vintage Triumph (although I guess in 1966 they weren't that vintage), covering 2,000 miles, visiting 18 pre-arranged control stops in 48 hours (with no overnight stops) without breaking down. Quite a feat for an old British-made car (and a pair of old busted men)…

Each team taking part, which must have at least two members, meets all costs of participation in the event themselves so that all funds raised will go directly to MacMillan.

My dad and I have managed to obtain a place on the 2014 RBRR and will be using my old man’s 1967 Triumph TR4A again. It made it round last time, let’s hope it can do it again.

Hello,

Thank you to those who have sponsored already; to those who haven't - please please please do spare a bit of cash - it's a very good cause, and the petrol alone will cost £500 so if we don't raise more than that the whole thing becomes utterly pointless...

Thanks xx

I have given you a few pounds, before they change into Scottish whackadoodles.

Thanks chap! remember to touch me up for cash when you're raising money for a post-Yes secessionist campaign for the bit of Scotland you live in.

Hello! I'm off in 4 days on this, so don't miss out on the opportunity to donate some money to a good cause.

Right, off to Dad's shortly. Fantastically I've started coming down with a cold. This should be fun.

Hopefully I'll post something on Monday to prove I'm still alive.
